Nice surprise. It´s an small family run typical Toledo style Inn with a wonderful view of the old town and river Tajus!. Clean and friendly run, with good parking facilities (free on week-ends). Closed to the city center by scalators!!!. Some of the employees speak good English & French. Good breakfast in the terrace by the sun although they only serve continental one. Try the "tosta a jamón e tomate"... delicious!.

As with some budget hotels we noticed in Spain the wifi password provided is incorrect causining patrons to mistakingly think it must be a problem with there own device. The you lady at reception vas very unhelpful and spent 2 hour talking with her tattood punk friends in the resteraunt rather than sitting behind the reception desk and was very unhelpful when we explained that we needed internet to call our car rental company due to a brocken windscreen. Overall room is clean and location is great. Dont expect wifi or service from the young girl (the gentleman was however very friendly) at this hotel.

ear Sir:

We take note of your comments and appreciate your opinion.

You are right when you say our WiFi does not always work properly, although we have recently installed a signal enhancer for 2 kilometers distance.

The first thing I´m going to do next Monday is contacting our technical service to try to solve the issue as soon as possible.

Regarding parking, please, note there is a big advertisement at the reception desk, in three languages, with very precise instructions on respect.

Parking your car in the historic center of Toledo on weekend is not an easy task, but our hotel has got 250 parking spaces in the surrounding area and another 1000 by the Miradero parking. You will not find another hotel in Toledo with that capability.

In any case I appreciate your comments.

Why? It must be for the position, which is very good for access to the city via the escalators. The hotel itself is clean but basic - my room was small and the bathroom had space only for a small shower cubicle. No plug in the sink. One was provided after I asked for it, but it didn't fit. My room key card failed at one point and I had to haul someone out of the cafeteria to reset it, as reception isn't always attended.

Sound-proofing could be better. The vigorous love-making session in the next room became part of my early evening entertainment.

The wi-fi works only in the cafeteria, and then not well. In my room it was hopeless - any connection was weak and brief.

Continental breakfast cost 6 euros and was a single piece of toast and a single croissant, with butter and two portions of jam, plus OJ and coffee, of which I had to ask for a second cup. I was told that the fruit was included, but as this was a selection of what looked like windfalls, I passed.

Maybe I'm just grumpy because I didn't see the (large and clear) warning sign on the front desk saying that parking on the street will get you a ticket. I did and I did. However, the pay and display near the hotel was full (6 cars) permanently and the alternative is 13 euros per day if the hotel stamps your ticket.

Overall it's not bad, but a bit much for what is a two-star at best

We had a 3 night stay at the Hotel Medina in Toledo and had a wonderful time. The Hotel was basic, but clean, and staff was fantastic - special mention to Alfonso, who was a diamond - can do attitude and nothing was too much trouble.
Right by the escalators to the Main town, yet enough out of the way to enjoy magnificent scenery and not have the hussle and bussle of the town.

This hotel may not be in the centre, but at 43 euros, and only a short escalator ride to the middle of the old city, it represents great value for the $s. The rooms were spotless with a good bathroom and shades to darken the room. The heating worked well and wifi is fast and free. Whilst it's not in the middle of town, it's about a 5 minute walk/escalator ride to the centre and the reception staff provide clear instructions. Parking is not provided (note- a car in Toledo is a bit of a mixed blessing) but the parking fees amount to around 10 euros per 24 hours. Be sure to clarify any parking arrangments at the desk. One of the managers is particularly helpful and the hotel deserves to succeed.

the location is good with a pretty nice view, the parking is close to the hotel and costs 6€/ day (compared to other hotels where it usually costs more than 12 €) the sheets were clean,

the WiFi is non-existing, one of the reception clerks might have some yakuza background (with all those tatoos :) the other was plainly unfriendly; the room was super small and very badly organize: you will take a shower squeezed between the plastic walls; you won't be able to use the wardrobe as the bed stands in front of it, the bed itself and the the bed-head falling apart, badly attached to the wall, making noise by every move, clattering and waking us up all the night, to top all the malfunctions the tv was not working properly and the fridge was broken.

Only good things to say about this charming hotel. The room was clean and tastefully presented. We had great views over the valley below and the spires and rooftops of the areas of town below. All very relaxing.
The bathroom, though small, was well equipped, including power shower and body jets.
The reception and service by Alfonso and his staff was warm and friendly. Breakfast was continental and more than enough.
Unlike the hotels in the centre of town, whose parking seems to be tucked away in various underground parks, there is more than enough parking right outside the door.
Access to the centre of town is made easier by the escalators of the nearby carpark, taking you straight to the centre of town. Toledo is on a hill, so you are usually walking up a hill, or down a hill. This hotel has no fancy frills, but is all the more enjoyable for that. I would definitely return.
