Halfway between Plaza Zocodover and the Museo de Santa Cruz (currently hosting the El Greco exhibition), the Santa Fe is a refuge from the hot sun and an oasis of non-tourist normality. Very friendly, not expensive, excellent tapas, etc, full of locals, especially at lunchtime and after work. I used to go every day.
