We stayed here 1 night. The location was great, one block from Plaza Zocodover. There's an excellent cafe/cafeteria downstairs that's open early for breakfast and lunch and serves huge bocadillos and decent coffee.
The hotel met our needs, but I'm not sure I would want to stay there more than a night or two. It was quiet, clean and cheap. The room was tiny, with dark peach walls, a small double bed, a wooden armoire, an outdated TV with a whopping 3 channels and a somewhat small bathroom with shower and bidet. The towels were as rough as sandpaper, but the sheets were soft. Soap and shower gel were provided, which was nice.
The heater never worked while we were there, so we used an extra blanket stored in the armoire. I'm sure they would have switched us into another room had we complained, but it was late when we discovered this and we just went to bed. And, for some reason, the exterior window has awful 1970's glass block in it. It's not a real window, so it created an awful feeling of claustrophobia as we couldn't see out, or get direct sunlight in. Weird. If they knocked out that glass block, it would transform the entire room.
Other than that, the desk clerks were friendly and Toledo was just incredible.
