“Central Square”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Definitely the central hub of the town and where most things seem to start and finish. Easy to get to and a good place to use for orientation after emerging from some the small side streets. A tourist information office is there offering maps - so all helps! Wasn't overly impressed with the square itself but have to admit its a useful place to navigate from.

“Good People Watching site”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

We were there on a Saturday evening and everyone was there and the ambience was alive. You get the coldest beer in town here! Went down a treat. This is the heart of Toledo and most certainly so on a Saturday. Really recommend it.

“Good place to start your walking tour of Toledo”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

The Plaza was a great place to start a walking tour of Toledo. We were not there on a celebration day but the large puppets were on display. We rode the train from Madrid which was fun and very fast; however a bus also runs every hour. Plan to spend a whole day as there are several museums, cathedrals, historic gate, and fortress walls to visit. The train station is lovely. The streets are historic and beautifully decorated with flags and shop displays. Toledo is a true middle ages city with original structures, walls and roads. The countryside views fronm the city are glorious. Some resturants are over priced but move away from the main plazas and you will find some less expensive tappas bars. Don't miss having a gelato on a hot day.

“Charming”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We visited Toledo two days before the Corpus Christi celebration and it was beautifully adorned, especially the Plaza de Zocodover.. The Plaza is the gathering place of town and it seems to be always full with tourists and locals. The Plaza is accessible to everyone and close to it you can take a taxi, the TrainVision or the buses that will take you anywhere you want around town.

“Central tourist spot”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This is where most tours stop and start and so is often the tourist reference point. Naturally the prices and service reflect the tourist culture and are a disappointment. There is no need to inflate the costs nor try to add the extra euro or two onto the bill, it both demeans the proprietor and insults the customer.
The Plaza itself is like so many in the city and in Spain. Nothing exceptional but as a good reference point.
