“Beautiful Cathedral”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

There are many places to see in Toledo, Spain, but the Cathedral should not be missed. We were fortunate to have attended a mass in one of the chapels inside the Cathedral on the day that we visited. I love that you can feel the holiness of the place despite the many sculptures, architecture marvels and other things that you will see inside. Really, really beautiful.

“What a huge beautiful well kept cathedral.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

Be warned - although most guide books and leaflets said the entrance charge was 5 euros it is now 8Euros which includes an audio headset for which you need your passport or a 20 Euro deposit! Tickets have to be bought in the office/shop opposite the entrance door. Don't be put off by this - it is a tremendous piece of architecture as well as an active church and well worth seeing.

“Magical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

One of the most beautiful cathedrals we visited in Spain. It's impressively large, but not overwhelmingly so, and the overall atmosphere is wonderful. The altarpiece is gorgeous and the courtyard is haunting.

The best way to avoid crowds is to see it after the day-trippers have gone... we went in at about 17:30 and had plenty of room to enjoy this remarkable space.

“Astonishing!”

You are obligated to visit this great and beautiful building. This is the most impressive catedral in all my trip to Spain, after Sagrada Familia (Barcelona).
