We enjoyed our 5-night stay at the NH Hotel in Toledo. It was a 20 minute walk from the railway station (uphill, so be careful if you're planning to make that journey) - much easier on the way back to the station as it was downhill. We walked into Toledo city centre each day, which was great exercise and it took us the 4 days we were there to explore a range of locations.
We booked a Junior Suite and were given room 101 - a lovely large room with tea/coffee making facilities, a very large bed and a lovely sofa. The bathroom was also large. The only downside of the whole stay was being woken at around 6.45am on the first morning by the sound of scraping chairs as the room is under the breakfast room. We got used to it as the days passed, but may be best to avoid this room if you are a light sleeper.
Good range of food for breakfast although, on our final day, most of the hot food and many of the dried fruits had gone by the time we arrived to eat at 9.15am.

Its hard to find any strong areas of criticism but like many hotel experiences, we do find it odd that even customers holding their frequent stayer cards are not afforded advantages over the room location. On this occasion the room (318) was about as far from the elevator as possible. Furthermore, faced with a choice of a view over the historic, illuminated Plaza de Toros, or a selection of the ugliest roof tiles in Spain, we drew the roof tiles option! I should emphasise the hotel was not even close to being full on the nights of our stay and this reservation was made 6 months ago!. This seems to happen to us with such frequency that logic dictates there must be some good room selections out there waiting for us!
On the positive side the hotel is located well in relation to the town access, good parking and the breakfasts were excellent!

We have stayed at this hotel before several years ago, it's really nice and in a good location between the station and the main centre of Toledo. It's opposite the Bull Ring, there are a few bars nearby and a super market down the steps to the side of the hotel and you can walk into Toledo centre it's about a mile but there are some steep hills en-route, but also some great views. Also the bus stop is just outside to the left and the number 5 bus goes into the centre.

We stayed in a junior suite on this visit it was really lovely, it had a large sitting room with TV a sofa bed with large table and chairs and a coffee machine it had a lovely bathroom with both a bath and a shower with robes & slippers. And it had a large bedroom with king size bed and a TV.

The standard rooms are also a decent size and comfortable and airy as we had a standard room on our previous visit.

We had a few social afternoons in the lounge, we bought cold meats, cheese, bread and drinks from the supermarket and relaxed in the lovely environment.

We had breakfast included with our stay, breakfast was a typical continental affair, with different breads, cold meats and cheeses, pastries and fresh fruits and yoghurt along with a selection of teas and coffee.

There is a restaurant with al-fresco seating area outside the menu looks nice but we have never eaten there.

The shower was broken and had water pouring out of the handle I reported it and it was fixed later that day, which was excellent service.

My only complaint was the air conditioning wasn't cool enough, I did report it and it was looked at when the shower was fixed but it still wasn't cold enough considering it was set to 10 degrees and it was nothing like that cold!

Other than that I would absolutely recommend this hotel, it's pretty, it's clean and very comfortable and I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Toledo.

This has to be one of my favourites in Toledo. It's approx 10 min walk into the main city. Parking underground...little tight and limited space but that's normal in Spain. We had lovely rooms on the ground floor at the back. Air con, double bed & duvet which is a bonus. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do more to help. Clean tidy and the rooms were spacious and typically spanish.

Be aware there was a room our friends were allocated on the front of the building ground floor and smelt very bad of smoke. However the staff had no issues in changing the room. Great outcome

We stayed 4 nights.
Overall, we felt that the hotel had stopped trying to be excellent and was happy to settle for just OK.

Positives:
. Very large room and bathroom.
. Spotlessly clean
. Comfortable bed, sofa and armchairs
. Rooms at the back have no street noise
. Friendly reception staff
. On several bus routes into town and one to the railway and bus stations (route 5)

Not so positives:
. Lots of noise from inside the hotel because: corridors aren't carpeted, there's no door separating the reception hall from the ground floor bedrooms corridor, and the housekeeping staff use really noisy trolleys early in the morning.
. Nowhere to sit down with friends and have a drink (although it would have been possible to offer this service in the spacious entrance lobby if it were redesigned );
. No restaurant!
. Poor value breakfast : but there are lots of cafes nearby that are good for breakfast (try cafe Paris over the road)
. No decoration (e.g. picture) in the room
. Bedside lights can't be independently switched (both are on or both are off)

All in all : a hotel that's adequate, but could try harder to really deserve its stars.
