I had a nightmare finding this place, and wasted a lot of time trudging up and down Toledo with heavy bags. When I arrived I complained to the manager that the instructions on hostelbookers.com for finding the hostel were very vague. There were no street names mentioned in the instructions, they simply said to leave the bus station and walk up the hill, and then head for a roundabout. There were multiple exits at the bus station going in different directions, and there were a number of streets going up the hill. I asked the manager why he didn't write street names in his directions. He was very aggressive about my criticisms and said it was my problem not his. The manager said that if I didn't like this hostel I should go and stay somewhere else. I did.

I went to the Oasis Hostel which is better located in Toledo, and had a thoroughly nice stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and we felt so comfortable. Its a house which the young owners converted into a hostel so you feel like you're just staying at home. The whole place was cleaned everyday and sheets are changed for every new guest. Although there was only one toilet, it wasnt a problem because of the low density of guests. Jose, the owner, even cooked paella, the best one we had in Spain, on one of the days when there werent many guests, and gave cooking tips. Their wifi worked well in every part of the house. The location is perfect; not in the touristy part of Toledo but a 5-minute stroll away and still within the old city walls. We couldnt ask for a better place. Tip: Try not to stay in Toledo during weekend, too many tourists then. Plus Jose might just have enough free time to whip something up for you in his kitchen then!

Hostel Cerro de Bu is very well located - walking distance to everything in town. It is a breath of fresh air insofar as it is located in a residential neighborhood - a little difficult to locate but worth the search. Run by an adorable young couple who are super helpful and really wanting all their guests to enjoy their stay. (English spoken) Three rooms - dorm style: and it's small size adds to the charm. Feels more like you are staying with friends rather than at a hotel. Super clean and the kitchen and big patio are great. Highly recommended - both this place and the beautiful town itself. Take a few days here as there is lots to see.
