Small place so make a reservation, a little pricey but worth it. Service top notch. Salad was inspired genius. Subtitle fresh flavors, someone back in the kitchen knows their art.

We arrived in Toledo to find that the Museo de El Greco doesn't open on Mondays and so, having seen all the other sights the day before, we had about 3 hours to kill until our hotel shuttle collected us. What good fortune! We found the Meson de la Orza a few steps away from the Museo, and what better place to enjoy a proper relaxed Spanish lunch! On one of the first real days of spring we sat on the restaurant terrace under parasols as the temperatures rose to the low 20s in this south facing sun trap. Staff are super friendly and service was efficient and unobtrusive. We both had the menu of the day (three courses, including a bottle of wine!) @ €25 a head - superb cuisine and brilliant value, and this we later discovered is one of the priciest restaurants in Toledo. No wonder it was full of mainly Spanish patrons.

We are just about done with our month in Spain and are so glad we tried Meson de la Orza before we left Toledo. Our meals were delicious, from the grilled vegetable starter through my partridge and my husband's duck breast to the cheesecake with licorice ice cream for dessert. Somewhat expensive, but meals in Toledo have been, and certainly worth it. The staff was very friendly and spoke enough English to get the job done.

I went for a few days with my daughter to Toledo. We stayed just across this restaurant, but didn't go there at first as it looked very expensive. It was at the higher end, but definitely worth it. We actually went back several times. My daughter is not very fond of meat, but we had some of the best food ever. The service was outstanding, nice restaurant, both inside and outside (we tried both). Can recommend it to anyone, and if back to Toledo we will definitely go back again.

Fine dining in traditional Spain! Our second visit to Toledo and our second visit to this beautiful Spanish restaurant. Not cheap food but quality food served beautifully. I started with cod croquettas which were delicious but my partners salt cod made me jealous, it was mixed with cheesy potato and bacon bits...amazing taste! Our mains were stuffed lamb and Iberian pork...gorgeous! We shared a dessert but after tasting it we wished we had one each! It was cheese cake with liquorice ice cream, never had anything like it before! Popular place with locals as well as visitors! Will definitely go back!
