Super location. Close to several sea side attraction. Beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The only drawback was the fact that the garden was not really very good for our small dog, being gravelled. On the whole however, we had A very enjoyable few days visiting Staithes,Runswick andSandsend. Thank you Zoe.
Small, clean, well equipped, dog friendly. The proprietor is thoughtful because treats and towel provided for the dog.
Highly recommend this rental if you need a quiet house close to amenities.
I know it was just what we needed.
Ideally located for Runswick Bay beach and local pubs. The cottage is lovely and cosy, immaculately clean and well equipped.
Had a lovely 2 night break in Driftwood cottage. Perfect getaway in a great location. Clean and well presented. We we're celebrating our wedding anniversary and the owners Zoe and Andy left a card and very nice bottle of wine to help us celebrate.Good attention to detail with everything you need, even our labrador had his own welcome treats.Good location for walking and public transport if the car is not required. With 2 good pubs in the village, butcher, chip shop, cafe all close by. Quite location set back from main road, will be back hopefully later in the year.
We stayed beginning of December. This is a lovely little cottage in a lovely village.
The owners have created a nice feel to the place and fixtures and fittings are of a good standard. They've done their best to create a warm welcome with the hospitality pack on arrival and the property was nice and warm.
There was an issue regarding cleanliness, I'm not going to put details on here as we dealt with it ourselves without notifying the owners, I'm sure it was an oversight as on the whole, the property and contents were very well presented.
This village is well situated for some very nice walks. It's convenient for the coast and Whitby. The cottage is in the heart of the village but there was no noise pollution that you can sometimes get with staying in the middle of a town or village.
I would have no hesitation in booking here again and would definitely recommend it.
As a guest, if I had a wish list for improving comfort, I would suggest a more powerful shower.
Highlight was the charming log burner.
Fabulous little cottage in idyllic situation.
Really lovely stay over the August bank holiday weekend.
Two great pubs within a stones throw of the cottage and the best fish and chip shop just across the road, what could be better?!
We will certainly be back one day soon.
Bonus is that the cottage is per friendly, and the walk down to the costal village of Runswick bay is a delight, to find the classy Royal hotel a just reward for your efforts.
