We came here as it was highly recommended. We had our staters at they were all fantastic. But then the service collapsed. No one came to our table for 30 minutes and we ended up cancelling our mains. It was a shame.

When you pay a pretty ammount of money for a meal you should recieve inexchange quality, imaginative cookery,an such a warm decoration wich makes your stay a real pleasure. The chart is a little limited but the quality is one of the best in Santander. Drinks and tapas are superb. The offer a daily menu very good and affordable. I'd recommend it to everyone who wants to spent a nice evening in Santander.

A great stand-while-you eat pintxo bar offering dozens of pintxo creations all under 3€ apiece. You can easily eat at least 4 p/p accompanied by a glass or two of wine, all for under 15€ each.

The Canadio restaurant had been recommended by our hotel but when we arrived at just after nine we were rather surprised to find ourselves in a very crowded and noisy tapas bar and became rather concerned when we were shown to a small formica topped table at the end of the bar - however a few minutes later the lights went on in the restaurant at the back and we along with a few other parties were shown to a tables in attractively decorated and rather quieter surroundings . The waiter didn't speak much english but without prompting offerred us the menu in english. While perusing the menu we were provided with an appetizer consisting of a small glass of very refreshing gazpacho and what I would call a savoury profiterole containing soft cheese.
Feeling adventurous we both opted for red scorpian fish pudding which despite its title was a very pleasant fish mousse albeit of a rather vibrant hue. Again for main course we both opted for the same thing, grilled hake which was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly.
For pudding we both chose the apple tart -what a revelation that was when it turned up. Paper thin slices of caramelaised apple arranged in a perfect circle on a thin pastry base surmounted by a portion of creamy ice cream. Sublime, especially when accompanied by a glass of the most unctious dan PX pudding wine. Couldn't fault this restaurant and will definitely be back again. Top Marks!

I really liked the Tapas there as they were special: for example the mini Hamburger or the filled zucchini with cheese, ham and béchamel sauce. So it tasted very good, felt modern, authentic and was not standard Tapas as I know it from Germany. Keep up the good work.
