We spent a few days before Xmas and we decided to go walking to that beautiful place which is so emblematic. Entrance is very easy you have wonderful gardens with big trees and ships, there is also a free mini zoo (penguins and seals) very nice! I did not have the chance to visit the palace but I will certainly do next time we visit Santander.

This is a nice, relatively modern summer palace of the Royal family which is now owned by the city of Santander. Nice tour in Spanish and beautiful location and park. Some penguins in their mini marine enclosure. Great visit on a nice day.

This Palace was a present from the people of Santander to the King Alfonso XIII. Nowadays it belongs to the city and it is set in a peninsula with 2 beaches around it. At the top you can find the palace where is possible to visit, the entrance cost 3 € (If I remember well), and is nice...but not is the best one that I've ever visited. Also you can find 4 ships that Vital Alsar used to travel in 2 different trips. You can visit the free mini-zoo with penguins and seals. Inside the palace there are facilities like bathrooms, lifts, etc

Definitely worth going up if only for the views. The palace is also beautiful and perfectly situated.

If you do not want to walk up the hill, there is a train that leaves every 15 minutes

My friends had a wedding ceremony here. It's perfect place with super view on the hill and the building itself is classic with charm. Lovely memory!
