We wanted a short break and liked the look of this hotel as it was directly overlooking the harbour. The hotel was immaculate, a traditional Spanish feel about it all. Very clean. Friendly helpfull staff. Lovely large room with comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was a good selection but I felt a it expensive at 17 euros. On the 2nd day we had coffee and croisants in the cafetieria and it was just as enjoyable at around 7 euros each. We ate out as knew a few good bodegas in the city. Great views of the harbour, well worth paying for sea view.

Mainly used as a stop-off point for people arriving or leaving on the ferry, this hotel is of a high standard throughout and would make an excellent base for exploring this part of the country. Its coffee bar is ideal for a reasonable snack if you arrive with time to spare before boarding the ferry. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and with sea views. The breakfast buffet is good. The restaurant is well run and good value for money. The hotel is not cheap but outstanding value. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the experienced waiters who run the coffee bar who looked after us and found imaginative responses to meet our requests.

Beyond comparison, but a trifle starchy. No complaints at all, but a little too corporate and dignified for us poor Brits; this is not a condemnation, merely an observation from our point of view. In reality, nothing needs improving - if you need first-class accomodation and service, this is the place!

Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Also quiet (despite the hotel's central location). Well refurbished, maybe 4-5 years ago? Furnishings not looking tired though.

I needed to print a few things out in the morning, and despite there not being a business centre immediately available, I was able to email the reception (using my laptop, and the free internet), who then printed out the documents for me.

Breakfast has a good selection, including teas by Taylor's of Harrogate- a true rarity in Spain!

Well done chaps.
