“Lots of fried food in bodega bar”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

As others have mentioned the menu is limited with an emphasis on fried food. The menu has charcuterie, pates, cheese, asparagus, tinned & cured fish and fried items. The croquetas and morcilla were delicious, but the food tends to be on the heavy side. Portions are huge and so it's very good value for money. For a bodega there was less choice of wine than I would have expected. The building is very interesting and the atmosphere lively and fun - packed out with locals.

“Croquetas croquetas!”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

First day in Santander, we got hungry too early for spanish dinner time. Went to Conveniente when they just opened the kitchen (7pm). Despite the place was completely empty and no music (the waitors probably could hear us chewing and swallowing food), we very much enjoyed croquetas and morcilla. Went there again on Saturday night (this time late enough, 10pm) and it was completely packed and people were queuing up for a table. Shame we didn't get to try the mixed fries!

“Worst restaurant I experienced in Cantabria”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Yuck. What can I say, the service was pretty horrible (and we speak Spanish), the menu is extremely limited (essentially chorizos, cured meats, cheeses, croquetas and preserved asparagus), and my mother and law and I both got sick from an evil croqueta de jamon. All, not kid friendly at all, both in terms of attitude and menu choices. Suppose this would be a decent place if all you wanted was a beer and some jamon and cheeses, since the building itself is kind of neat.

“Huge portions, good value”
Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

Set in a big warehouse looking place, you are surrounded by thousands of wine bottles. The food comes in platters, which means ordering more than one thing can mean an over full tummy. Great food though and the best service we've found in Santander.

“Yummy food, excellent service and fab building”
Reviewed August 14, 2012 via mobile

Really wide menu, something to suit everyone. We did a house swap with a Spanish family and this is their favorite restaurant in Santander! Think that says a lot, long queues to get in!
English menu, which is helpful to us! Waited were unbelievably prompt and friendly. A guy playing nice tunes on piano adds to the vibe. Recommend,
