There are two ways to go at this restaurant and you can't go wrong either way. Downstairs, it's a more casual environment with great tapas and pinchos and a wide selection of wines. Some of their regular menu items can be ordered there as a tapa or ración portion (if you don't want to order the full size). Great for a quick bite and excellent service. Upstairs, you eat a la carte with soft jazz playing in the background. Their menu is creative and takes advantage of local fish and produce. You can go as simple as a salmorejo with a touch of anchoas (their twist on the original version) or as far out as a tuna tartare with foie gras. Everything is delicious. Be adventurous! The chef will come and check on you, tell you the specials and take your order. Then waiters serve your food and make sure all your needs are met. Definitely one of the best meals ever in Santander. The only negative, in my opinion, is the lighting. Dimmer lights would suit the place better. Other than that, a perfect dinner!
