Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice beach and tourists based in Santa Cruz seem to prefer it. The yellow sand (imported from the Sahara Desert) everybody seems to enjoy, I consider to be a disadvantage - it's to too "powder like" for my personal taste. With every blow of the wind you get sand in your ears, nose, mouth (a problem which is virtually absent with the more granular volcanic sand). Another thing I don't like is that the waves are really small. On the plus side - there's abundance of parking space. Showers, toilets, changing rooms and lockers are at visitors' disposal. There's also a bus connection with Santa Cruz although for some reason TITSA (the company that operates all bus lines across Tenerife) put the oldest and most rickety buses on this particular line (the bus number is 910 by the way).

Good beach, plenty of beachbars, toilets, good service for low prices. Renting 2 sunbeds + 1 Umbrella costs 6 euros per day.

This is a pleasant place to spend a bit of time, but if a natural beach experience is what you want, this isn't really it. The artificial wave barrier had reduced the waves on the day we went to a tiny lake shore lapping, which compromises the beach feel for me. The Saharan sand looks good but is so fine textured that the shore is very spongy and it is impossible to get the sticky sand off your feet.
Lifeguards, cafes, palm trees, some shadier trees, loungers, copious parking - good facilities.

The Beach is aroud 7 km away from Santa Cruz towards the port to the notre. A huge beach of very fine yellow sand, that of the desert. Very shallow and protected by a dike, which makes the water very calm and ideal for swimming and walking in the water. A varied decor, the mountain, the palm trees, the port, bright colors, blue, green, yellow ... very beautiful. Lots of space, showers, several accesses, huge parking, cafes. All you need to spend a good quiet day. Ohh the best partof it, is the villages embedded in the mountain with constructions in several colors.
