We were all inclusive customers so the following points mainly relate to those who are all inclusive.

Overall the hotel has a lot of good points and bad points but weighing them out we would not go again. The good points are: a good range of swimming pools ,pretty location with restaurants, bars and shops, good places of interests , weather was mostly good, food is to a great quality, a good variety of food, a clean restaurant, overall helpful staff, large bedrooms, comfy beds, nice bathroom, some good facilities for example golf, tennis, and a spa.

The bad points are: very noisy due to car traffic and disco which resulted in us moving rooms, poor entertainment for example the parrot show as all they wanted was money for pictures, nowhere to sit unless you get up early and even though they ask people to not reserve sunbeds there are still no sunbeds so you yet again have to get up at least half eight, all drinks are in plastic cups, everything is self service and the locks on the doors were not very good which resulted in us being locked out of our room so we had to wait two hours for someone to fix our lock.

The places of interest which were excellent was the sian and loro and park which is cheaper if you buy a twin ticket in a local shop. Even though the waterpark was over an hour away it was worth it. Be prepared to take money to sian waterpark as you cannot take a picnic as they search your bags.

Between the tired palms and shallow croons of entertainers washed up on the shores of Tenerife the Bluesea interpalace plys its trade. As an institution it belongs to the world of communist group holidays tired interior, monolithic exterior and the food is gruesome.

People can read too much into these reviews!
this was a perfectly acceptable hotel with nice food and beer!
the breakfast was pretty much as you would expect in a decent hotel here, with probably more variety.
Diner and tea were both equally as good as each other.. lots of varierty, and nice food. lots of fish which is nice, and boring stuff like chicken nuggets and chips! picky eaters are ok lol.
rooms all fine, but your mad if you want to stay in your room!
entertainment i would guess is average for spanish holidays!
pool very nice, a few more chairs would be nice (well a necessity)
views very nice.
North of the island very pretty and much better than the south.
took off at 645 from birmingham and in the hotel at 1310, so thats not too bad.

Room Tip: get a view of the mountain. can see the see anywhere in the world! and not on the bottom floor

We arrived here on the 14th August 2013 for 10 nights (thank god not 14). I had read the reviews but wanted to make up my own mind on what I thought.

Food very average (smell of the restaurant made me feel ill after a few days).
Rooms are cleaned every other day (not good enough for 4* supposedly) although they do give you clean towels at reception if you ask.
Sun beds, not enough. You have to follow the Germans rule, towels out at dawn or you do not get a bed, there is a notice saying you cannot put towels down unless your are using them.
Very much catered for Spanish guests (which is ok your are in Spain).
The reception staff were always friendly and accommodating until our last day, we left the hotel at 5.20pm but asked the day before and the morning of for a room to take a shower was told no problem come back at 3pm. We went to reception at 3pm covered in sun tan lotion and was told no room available in the 3 hotels. We were not happy as you can imagine. We were subjected to taking a shower and changing in the public indoor pool in one of the other hotels (over the road from our hotel). The staff were quite rude to us and simply said we have no rooms and that's it then turned there back on us and carried on serving other guests.

We paid £659 per person including flights and you definitely get what you pay for. How they can advertise it as 4* I do not know.

On plus side, weather was good, pool was clean, the staff are quite mature and friendly in the bar and restaurant. Also in the evening if you were not seated by 8pm you had to stand all night.

Booked the Blue Sea Resort for a mid summer break in the sun at the end of July first week in August. We had cloud coverage every day which was a real disappointment but not the hotels fault.

Advertised as a four star the hotel has many qualities, it is within easy walking distance to the main town of Porto Cruise and a taxi back to the hotel is only 3.50euros so not worth the uphill walk back.

The Wifi and satellite television is chargeable and good, access to wifi is good around the resort and can be accessed from your room on the balcony gives better signal.

The food was good all week with a varied menu, you would struggle to not find something each day as all are catered for. Water was only available in small plastic cups and you were not allowed to fill up a water bottle.

The rooms were adequate with a powerful shower, our air conditioning was not working well which we reported to reception a maintenance man attended and it was sorted quickly and efficiently.

The all inclusive bar is limited, offering 3rd rate spirits and the wine offered outside of the restaurant is undrinkable and this is so shortsighted as the wine within the restaurant is fine. The beer is universal and good.

Cleanliness around the pool is dire, cigarette ends empty cups straws etc go un attended and although washed down on some days the poolside is in need of a good scrub.

Evening entertainment is poor, the blue sea resort team do lay on good activities during the daytime and one funny part to the days is one of the resort staff dresses as a cleaner, lucky lucky man etc which is funny and inclusive.

Music played during children's club is inappropriate and contains offensive language and content.

We witnessed the pool attendant treating someone's foot which he had cut open, the lifeguard wore no gloves swabbed down at the poolside, treated with iodine and did not clean the area afterwards, he then washed his hands in the pool after treatment was concluded.

There are too many rules around the poolside for guests which is not complemented with maintaining the cleanliness of the sun bed areas.

The painted concrete flooring needs scrubbing not just washing down as dirt simply pools and dries leaving residual dirt.

We would not return to the Blue Sea Resort.

I stayed there for a week with my Mum (I took her away for her birthday) and I can honestly say that it is the most relaxing holiday we have both had in a while. The hotel is not too crowded like some other large purpose-built all inclusives. Although we stayed at the peak time (August), the hotel was not at all overcrowded. We got a table in the restaurant straight away during every meal and there were never any queues for food like some people have claimed in their reviews. There was plenty of choice on the buffets and all food was fresh and well presented. The snacks were good- I highly recommend the pizza! I loved the fact that you could help yourself to all alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks all day long. Getting a sunbed was not an issue at all. We arrived by the pool at about 9am each morning and easily found 2 sunbeds. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel décor is dated but the hotel is very clean throughout. The daytime entertainment was good with plenty of activities on offer but the evening entertainment was sometimes difficult to follow as it was presented in English, Spanish and German. The hotel is in a lovely area and it offers a free shuttle bus down to the town centre (you can walk though in about 15 mins.) There is a beach down in the main town as well as nice shops etc. People staying at this hotel can also use all of the facilities at the 2 hotels across the road as they are owned by the same company. Several trips were on offer-Loro Parque was AMAZING! Car hire was cheap- 30 euros for a day.

Room Tip: Request a sea view (these do not cost any extra.)
