We stayed at this hotel for four weeks from 2nd Jan to 30th.2014.
This was our fourth visit and the total cost for half board for two people for four weeks was £2050. flying from Manchester with Mercury Holidays.

The hotel is about 20 years old and is now showing signs of being a little run down and requires a makeover.

It is built on a hillside at five different levels and the road access is via a hill with an incline of 1 in 8 which some people may find awkward. There is a rear entrance which cuts the incline quite a bit. The road went directly to El Jardin sandy beach with excellent facilities set to a backdrop of botannical gardens but is a good kilometre away downhill but is a lovely place to sit and have a drink.

The acommodation consists on a twin roomed suite with a separate lounge and bedroom, both having tv's but only with Spanish and German Channels and there was a good size balcony.
The bathroom was modern and quite large having bath, shower wc and bidet.
The bedroom was comfortable and had two large single adjoining beds and also a bucket style chair.
The lounge had a large convertible settee which we liked as it gave a bit more comfort than the usual bucket style chairs usually asociated with spanish hotels. There was also a kettle or coffee making facilities in a wardrobe which we found extremely useful.
In the winter it is best to ask for a mountain view as this is the sunny side of the hotel. In summer the sea view side is favoured as it is obviously cooler but some companies charge extra.
The road adjoining the hotel has light traffic but there was some noise from hgv's which might deter some people.

The food was good but had deteriorated since the time of our last visit, lots of fish and pork no beef or lamb but in the main we couldn't complain, provided you enjoyed a lot of salt in your food. We also had free wine and water with our meal which was a bonus and also we could have coffee and cake at 4pm without charge, this applied to Mercury clients only.
The staff were in the main courtious and hard working except for one of the bar staff who we found off hand.
The swimming pool was heated and there was plenty of sun beds which unfortunately had seen better days, a few had been replaced.

Entertainment is pretty poor with a couple of animal acts and there was occasional music.
A minibus was provided by the hotel to take guests to the centre of town about 3k away.

The bus station is a good 15 minute walk away but we found it very convenient and gave us access to all parts of the island.

Room Tip: If you are fit and want a comparitively cheap holiday, then this could be the hotel for you. We found Mercury efficient and we liked the provision of a taxi without charge from the airport.

Shocking, worst holiday ever! The staff don't speak english maybe one or two that can slightly understand you, very rude and no time for you. The hotel is out dated the decor is horrendous there's is no coffe or ironing facilities in the room and no English channels on the tv. The entertainment is shocking and all Spanish. The only good thing iv got to say is that the food was generally spot on but soon become very boring as the diner is very small.

Room Tip: Don't bother with this hotel go somewhere else

Recently returned from staying in this hotel for Christmas, to be honest I was very disappointed with our stay in this hotel, we found the staff and service very poor indeed , they spoke very little english, service in the buffet restaurant was terrible. The food was awful and always cold, we was all inclusive and in my opinion the choice was very poor, the pool bar choice of lunchtime food was just cakes till 3 then it was pizza.. Anything else you had to pay for. The rooms are very dated and cold, we had to ask for a kettle and cups to be put in our room, but in the brochure its says this is provided for all inclusive customers... They also do not provide you with tea/coffee. They also ask you if you would like a sea view or pool view neither of which is available. The hotel is on a very steep hill and it's a trek to the restaurant, the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel is, it has a fab gym but be prepared to pay extra if you want to use the cardio machines. Would I return or recommend the answer would have to be NO! Tenerife YES.

We stayed at this hotel in early November 2013. The Hotel is very smart, clean and the staff are generally quite friendly. The hotel is situated up a very steep hill, so if you're a Mountain Goat this place is for you. I suffer from spinal problems so I had to get Taxis back which to be fair are quite cheap at €3.50 from town. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant as such and prefers the canteen buffet arrangement, which we don't like much. If you like Germans then this place for you, the evening entertainment is sung mostly in German, the breakfast hall is best if you dine at 7am as from 7:45am the invasion starts and before you know it your being pushed & shoved around by Ze Germans. Would we stay there again? No, we will stay nearer to the town which has an abundance of fine restaurants and bars.

We travelled in mid october booked a late deal online and for the price we paid you could not really complain. The Hotel is a bit dated but kept very clean. The Food is very good (fresh) especially the tomatoes. If you are all inclusive you get a free meal in one of the themed restaurants which is well worth it. Good service and good food. The bar staff were amazing especially Victor he was very friendly and catered to our every need. Esteban also worth a mention but all bar and restaurant staff seemed to work very hard. Reception could do with cheering up a bit. A short walk from the beach and main town. The beach is definately worth it. The hill is fairly steep though but you do need to do some exercise on holiday..... come on. Its also only 15 minute walk from Loro Parque which is a DEFINATE overall a holiday is what you make of it and this was just fan dabby dosy
