We stayed here for a week and were satisfied. The room is exactly what people write here: basic, old, but clean, quite comfortable and minimally but sufficiently equipped, spacious. The kitchenette and wardrobe equipment seem to vary between the apartments depending on what the visitors have left there (we, for example, had a lot of hangers and different kinds of plates and other kitchen utensils, 2 kettles and a frying pan) and you can cook simple meals. The beds were old but surprisingly comfortable. The shower was good, hot water with strong pressure. The location is very good near the beach and not far from the centre, but there is some traffic noise. We did not have breakfast but it's only 4e.

The receptionist was far from helpful or welcoming when we arrived (no hotel info or anything), but after the first experience, we got good service.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the mountain have nice view and sunshine in the sfternoon

Me and my birthday booked to stay at Hotel Tenerife Ving for 10 days through a travel agency named Aronasol. It was around 20 minutes away from the airport which isn't too long and gave us a chance to check out the scenery. We booked a twin room that had two single beds in so we just pushed these together. The kitchenette was not very big and had a kettle and a fridge, but this was not really a problem for us as we prefer to eat out anyway. The breakfast buffet was really good and the restaurant offered a selection of authentic Spanish cuisine the rest of the time. There was a shop in the hotel so we were able to buy drinks and snacks as and when we needed them as the shop stayed open until quite late. Safes were available to use but we chose not to use these. The pool area was a decent size but as we were only 200m from the beach we sunbathed there most days and only used the pool area once or twice. We didn't use the room service that was offered but we did venture into the gym once and it was well equipped and quite busy to say that people were there on holiday.

The hotel is very nice, especially for the price. We paid less than 50 euros for 2 nights. In general it was a good quality / price ratio. The hotel is simple and not new, nevertheless I have nothing to complain of. To stay here is not bad at all. The room is clean and spacious. There was a small balcony, a new large flat-screen TV, tiny refrigerator and electric stove. The hotel has a spacious lobby where you can sit and relax. There's even a patio with a play area for children. Hotel features a rooftop swimming pool, so you can swim and sunbathe there. Although the beach is not far from the hotel and the hotel location is very good. Breakfast was very good. I especially liked the cookies. Internet and wi-fi in the hotel is not free.

Hotel is conveniently situated close to bus station and beach. Loro parque is also not very far. Martianez lake is about 20 minutes walking distance. Apartment was not new but clean. There was a small balcony and TV. Towels and shampoo were provided. A small kitchenette with a fridge were available, however promised tea and coffee making facilities - not. I suppose a saucepan could be used for boiling water on an electric cooker. Cooking utensils were poorly maintained. A tea cup was only one as well as a glass, so we had to use glasses from bathroom. I liked breakfast. It was great and hearty. Considering this hotel as one of cheapest options in Puerto Cruz, it was really good value for money. They have even a pool on a roof.

Stayed here solo from 19th to 26th March 2013.
It's just over an hour's drive from Tenerife South airport in a car.

The apartments were easy to find, but getting a parking space was something different - drove round and round for about 40 mins and ended up parking two streets away (did manage to get closer that night though when workers had gone home).

My apartment's balcony (406) looked over a residential car park (which although not the world's greatest vista, was useful to know for parking later in the week), and the apartment was basic but adequate: - bathroom with sink, toilet and 3/4 length bath; a 'kitchen corner' with two ring electric hob, sink and fridge.
TV in the room with a mixture of Spanish channels, small dining table and surprisingly comfortable twin beds (well, at least one was - didn't use them both!).
Being on the 'shady' side of the building, the apartment did get a little cool at times - but I was there in March (20-26 degrees C outside during the week - just colder inside).
The electric hobs did warm the room quite well, though......

The older town for really nice restaurants and the sea front was about a 15/20 mins walk away, depending on how far you wanted to go - lots of selection with most places having reasonable prices.

I was a little disappointed to find that wifi was only available in reception or the bar at a cost of €15 per week. It was inconvenient having to come downstairs with laptop of tablet every time I wanted to use the internet.
There were two public computers in reception for internet usage at a charge.
The staff were very friendly: - reception staff, cleaning staff, - even the barman smiled after four days......., and the rooms were regularly cleaned with fresh towels supplied.

The apartments have a little shop attached, with other small shops close by, and a supermarket and pharmacy are about 100 yards down the road.

If you like animals, I can thoroughly recommend 'Loro Parque' which is about 15/20 mins by foot from the apartments - over 350 species of parrots, white tigers, gorillas, chimps, penguins, seals, reptiles etc.... you get the idea!
There are also animal shows - parrots, Orcas (killer whales), dolphin and seals.
I'm not normally one who always agrees with performing animals, but Loro Parque has won many conservation awards, and the animals are treated with respect.
Injured wild animals are treated here before being released back into the wild.

I always ask myself the same question at the end of a trip:
'Would I stay there again?'
- the answer is simple - if I did not need to use my laptop or tablet, then 'Yes', I would stay at Tenerife Ving again, but would ask for a room on the sunnier side of the building.

As a previous reviewer has said - 'You get what you pay for', and apart from the issues mentioned above, I was quite happy there - it does its job!

Good points - only a five minute walk from the beach, rooms basic but clean, drinks are very reasonably priced, the wine is only a euro a glass but there's a reason for that as it tastes like vinegar.Lager was ok though & only 2 euros a pint.
Bad points- the hotel was very noisy, think part of the hotel is residential & we were woken up early every morning by the noise coming from both inside & outside the hotel. We hired a car & had to drive round for ages to find a parking space.

Just arrived back from a one week, reasonably last minute break to Tenerife.

Suprised to read the other reviews saying that this hotel is a 4* as in my opinion it would be a 3* at a push.

I stayed in a twin room on a self catering basis with my mum.

The bedroom itself was basic with two single beds.

The living area was reasonably spacious with a sofa, table and set of drawers - however there wasn't enough space to put away all of our belongings in the wardrobe and drawers, and there certainly weren't enough hangers to use in the wardrobe - so if you are planning on staying here make sure you take some of your own!

Kitchen/cooking facilities - as one of the pictures on this site shows you get a two burner electric hob and a fridge.... There is no kettle, no toaster, no microwave and no oven - fortunately our intention was not to eat in a lot or else we would have struggled.

The rooms are cleaned everyday except Saturday's when the cleaners rest. I have never experienced this before in a hotel and wasn't overly impressed - however when the room was cleaned they did a good job.

We had an apartment that was situated directly above the child's play area which got noisy on the weekends with childrens parties... Not so good when you're taking a lie down for a siesta but good if you have children of your own as the kids seemed to love it.

The bar in the hotel is reasonably priced at €1 per glass of wine and €2 for a pint of Dorada, which was a nice place to meet up with the family before heading into town (which is about a 10 minute walk to the square with no overly steep hills).

We found the reception/security staff quite helpful - the main doors are closed at midnight however reception is staffed 24hr so you just have to ring the buzzer.

The pool looks a lot bigger than it is in the hotel's official photos - however with the time of year we stayed and the pool not being heated it was a bit too nippy to go for a swim. Also, I can imagine during peak season it would be difficult to get a sunbed as we struggled one day getting up on the roof at 10am.

Final point to note if planning to visit in the summer - there is no air conditioning in the rooms! Ok for us in November - don't fancy it in July!

All in all though we had a fabby holiday... And this hotel was value for money... Next time I may just spend a few pennies more.
