This is my top beach choice in Puerto de la Cruz. There is a small cafe near it which serves very good natural smoothies, the sand is quite nice, not that many rocks and no fees

This is the nicest beach in Puerto de la Cruz that we visited while vacationing here. The black sand is coarse with no rocks or prickly things. The beach has two large crescents that are quite broad and spacious. Restaurants dot the shoreline near the roadside.

We are from Myrtle beach which is also noted for having large white sandy beaches. We prefer the finer white sand to the black sand, as the black sand makes everything look dirty.

The water and surf looked beautiful. Plenty of swimmers and surfers.
The beach was clean and vibrant. No graffiti or vandalism that we could see.

Never seen a branch within a garden before. Especially a black one, which just added to the magic lots of space to enjoy and really reasonably priced cafes. Beautiful place and so worth a visit. Just to caution: the sea can be rough, but not as rough as the lucky lucky men! Be strong

The gradens / beach are a good place to relax and have a drink / meal, with plenty of on street parking nearby.

With a huge span of a beach & deck chairs at 3€, perfect unobstructed sunlight & the sound of the waves with a beautiful breeze whats not to love.
No litter, washing facilities, lifeguards, toilets close by n a place to grab food or a drink.
Granted u will be pestered regularly from people selling wears but that throughout Puerto de la Cruz n if your lucky there will be a very cheery local selling fruit, overpriced but so delicious. Best watermelon ive ever had n im a big fruit eater!!
Definitely recommend. Never made it to the water unfortunately as the sand is so hot!

Nice beach. Clean, not far from town centre. Best area to park your car and stroll across beach. Not to busy in January.

If you like waves you definitely need to try it. Black sand, there are some bars around but very little shade. It is windy so hard to install the umbrella but you can rent them as well.

Before arriving in Tenerife I was expecting quite something from this beach. But after reaching the place and seeing it I was like meh... The stupid part is that the reaction wasn't caused by the fact that the beach is not looking good. But by the fact that the entire city looks so damn good that the beach is not really that different.
It's worth seeing anyway.
