the next time I'll stay in a hotel inside this parc, trees and views are outstanding. On our return fron Anaga we were lost in it, because there are no ways to go down

The perfect place for a gentle stroll. Coming up the hill from town, the water gardens are delightful & lead to a café with views down to the town. Relax with a coffee before heading further up to the main park. This is usually busy with locals, dog walking or jogging.

They have spent some years and quite a lot of money improving this area so now it is very user friendly. You will find families come here for the day with picnic's. Runners and joggers meet and run round for hours. They seem to favour lycra, which you only see in the UK on cyclists and not all wear it in a way that compliments them, however if you are a lycra fan and enjoy those who wear it then you will enjoy their antics. They are by no means of a gay persuasion either, lots of hair and very manly. The Anglican church is up here as is Tigaiga hotel and several others. The ENglish library too. It is a lovely place to explore for each turn provides another set of steps or a path that takes you one way or another past bushes of hibiscus flowers. There is a small shop up here and a cafe and you are usually welcome in the hotels and their pools if you buy a drink.

I'm in marathon training, and trying to find anywhere to run that didn't consist of constant fierce hills was tricky. In the end I discovered this park, and if you discount the 246 steps or the hairpin road to get to it (during which you get some great views) then it's actually reasonably flat and gives a basic lap of just under 1km (although I'm sure the locals know more complex and longer laps). I wore a groove around the park running laps, along with many other local runners. It's a bit bare in January, but once things start to flower it will be really pretty - some nice views ot Mount Teide as well. It's very popular with dog walkers and promenaders, and I found that it got a little too busy to run safely mid morning at weekends, so go early whilst it's quiet and cool. And don't forget to pet the cats :)

Worth going to the park for a look, there are excellent views of the whole of Puerto de la Cruz and it's a gorgeous well kept park, we had a lovely romantic stroll here!
