The Casa Pache is lovely family-run small restaurant situated within an attractive, peaceful alleyway, 150m from the bustling Plaza del Charco in Puerto de la Cruz.
It is not "classy" food but it is all home made, wholesome, fresh and very tasty. The menu is not extensive but it is refreshingly different from the many restaurants in town that have the same hundred or so options to choose from.
There are 4 tables outside and a few more within a couple of small very attractive rooms inside. It is much more like someones house than a fancy restaurant. Service is friendly and attentive.
We shared a baked cheese starter, had chicken in sauce and lamb in sauce with superb Canarian potatoes for main courses and shared a fantastic Tiramisu for dessert. We also had a half litre of pleasantly fruity house wine then coffee.
The bill of just over €24 represented remarkably good value with the wine at €3 and dessert at €2.50 in particular feeling like a steal.
If you are looking for authentic home-cooked Canarian cuisine in pleasant surroundings with faultless service and at a great price then seek out the Casa Pache!
