After eating in the hotel Botanico Italian restaurant and having at best a very average meal with apathetic service, we tried this one after reveiws on Tripadvisor. Walking distance of the hotel and housed at the lower level of what seems like an apartment block. However, the inside is amazing, it has been transformed to a lovely intimate area of 3 rooms with lots of flowers and lovely lighting. We were welcomed and given a lovely table with the choice of a few others to suit us. Starter was lovely, huge fat langoustines and nice bread basket (not horrid bullet like rolls as in the hotel restaurant) Main course was excellent, we were worried about having veal after our experience in the hotel but it was perfect. I had langoustines in a saffron sauce with rice, freshly cooked and delicious. Portion sizes spot on. Wine list was quite modest but reasonably priced.

So impressed we are going back again tonight and, assuming it is good again will probably try to go back again.

We had a pretty good meal here, the dishes were tasty, menu was good, food well presented. Shared a load of starters and then had our own main courses, my steak was just right, though the quality of the meat was average. Wine list was a bit hit and miss but we found a wine we liked and stuck with it.

The staff were on the ball and quite helpful, place had a nice buzz to it.

Bill wasn't too bad for what we had.

What can we say... a fabulous evening. We tried to book, and left a message on their answering machine. They tried to call back to say they were full, but we never connected, so we turned up. After a brief consultation, where we agreed to "fit in at the pace that suited the kitchen". They had a table fitting us (four adults and two children) and we proceeded to have as great an evening, with as good food as last year, where we visited Tucan the first time. Definitely a place we will revisit if the opportunity arises.

This is in my opinion the best resturant in the world. The chef Herman, is amazing and always produces the finest fillet steak which is always done to perfection. The decor is lovely and if you like to spend a night in nice surroundings and enjoy lovely food then you have to give this little gem a visit. You will be greeted at the door by Gabby the owner and waitress who will make sure your glass is never empty. lovely place and cant wait to return

Visited on the strength of the reviews here, but was not impressed.

We were sat at a very poor table and promptly ignored for over 10 minutes while the waitress looked after other customers who seemed to be regulars. The menu was then brought over, but no offer of drinks was made. After another 10 minutes of being ignored we left.

Best description for this place - a restaurant version of fawlty towers!
