“Nice spot for a bite to eat”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Came for a quick bite to eat on a day trip from the south of the island - sandwich and a cold drink. Sandwich very tasty. The cakes looked very good too, but we did not indulge this time. Service was good and prompt. As noted in earlier reviews, the toilets were spotless.

“Lovely cakes and drinks - but quite expensive”
Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

Tried the hot chocolate here - it was lovely but very thick (thank goodness for the glass of water...). OH reported the coffee was excellent. Being Sunday we treated ourselves to a cake from a nice looking selection at the counter. Both were very good.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Very clean, chic loos. Marked down as it was expensive compared to other cafés sampled to date.
But would still say treat yourself to a coffee and cake here!

“Good cakes”
Reviewed February 10, 2014 via mobile

We sat outside in sunshine and shelter on what was a chilly day. The cakes and coffee were good if rather on the expensive side.

The ladies' loos were very good and very clean.

“Great spot for a cuppa”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

We only tried the coffee here (it was very good) - we were more interested in having a break from sightseeing. The cafe was very busy, but the service was prompt, and we wished we were hungry when we saw all the delicious cakes and meals being served up. It's a good place to relax outside with a drink and enjoy people-watching.

“Perfect spot and excellent food”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Visiting La Laguna on a Sunday in October. Busy at lunchtime but managed to grab an outside table here. So glad we did.
Had the €5.95 offer for burger & drink. Excellent meat, no dodgy stuff in this cafe. The cakes looked so good but we hadn't room so went for a good stroll round La Laguna and came back a couple of hours later for coffee and cake €3.60 a large slice.
Good and pleasant service. Owned by a Spanish couple who have 2 other branches, one down in Santa Cruz & the other in Bajamar. www.palmelita.es
