“Good for drinks not for food”
Reviewed November 26, 2013 via mobile

Salad was about average, not bad but not great,
Prawns were a little undercooked could cause problems
Sea bass coated in salt was overcooked but entertaining preparation
Staff were a mixed bag, one very odd, rude and short, the other friendly and affable

Atmosphere was good, some cheesy music next door within complex of restaurants, near sea so would be nice just for drinks

“Very Average, need to try harder!”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Hot tourist spot and you do wonder if they just do the minimum they can get away with thinking that they arent going to see you until next year! Frozen chips, frozen veg.... lovely setting though.. shame food could be so much better. Places like this should realize that there are lots of choices out there for better food

“Great bar and entertainment”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Had a few good nights in the bar with some tribute acts, the staff are brilliant and look after the punters. There are places to just sit and drink as well as eat. Stays open very late.
The food is quite good and is as expected for a holiday resort bar and restaurant.

Having visited several of the bars in this pretty little bay over the last few years, we were encouraged into Bahia Beach last week. Oh dear, we should have avoided the looky looky man and carried on walking !
Drinks were very slow to arrive, our party of four people decided to have a light snack - another bad decision ! 2 people ordered baguettes and the other 2 ordered sandwiches, when they eventually arrived ( we were beginning to think we had been forgotten about !) all four meals were served up wrong and had to go back to the kitchen to be amended, another long wait for then to be returned to us. The 2 men in our party ordered baguettes which were very dry and tasteless, my friend and I ordered sandwiches which would have made British Rail sandwiches look like gourmet food !! Bread which felt several days old , no butter or spread, just a thick slice of cheese placed between 2 slices of dry stale bread which when taken apart, turned out to be the crust of the sliced loaf turned to the inside so as not to be seen !! Entertainment was nothing special either.
Food prices similar to other venues but drink prices very expensive - on a par with hotel prices. We were very disappointed with Bahia Beach and definitely not be going there again. Bars in Playa de Las Americas leave this place standing for drinks, food and good entertainment.

“Food nothing special, whereas entertainment could turn out to be exceptional”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

This is a Spanish owned restaurant, which is stressed by the looky looky man out front who appears to have a bit of an issue with so many restaurants in Las Americas having been taken over in the past few years by Chinese people. The restaurant is nicely situated on the beach walkway right in the centre of Puerto Colon/La Pinta Beach and it looks very welcoming. So it’s a shame, based on our experience, that the food’s average at best and the service pretty slow. This is one of the restaurants that have entertainment every evening. When we visited, the Brit pub-singer-karaoke chap who appeared to be a regular and knew quite a few people in the crowd was nowhere near as good as he thought he was, and he appeared to think that increasing the volume made things better. It didn’t, especially as he didn’t know how to use a microphone. But half way through our meal a guest entertainer came on who was a Meatloaf tribute act. He was superb and he made our evening in spite of the rather mediocre meal. We wouldn’t eat in here again (maybe that’s why places are being bought by the Chinese) but we would stop for a drink or two if the entertainment was good.
