“A little vegatarian gem”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Near the harbour of Puerto de la Cruz, one of nicest towns of Tenerife, you can find this little gem, where dining is a feast. The food is freshly made in the open kitchen and is really delicious. The restaurant itself is not to big, but very nicely decorated and with a kind of family atmosphere, as if you are eating with friends. We drank a local red wine of Tenerife, which was accompanied with local specialties and the famous mojo sauce.
For starters we had a soup of the day and a salade with warm goat´s cheese and honey. Main course was wokked vegatables Thais style with rice, yummie, yummie. Instead of dessert we took a nice cortado (coffee). All in all we had a lovely evening for a good price.
I can surely recommend El Mana and not only to the vegatarians. If you love food this is the place to be!

“vegetarian food at its best”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

If you are a veggie the choice can be limited when eating out. What a treat to find this restaurant in a quiet street not far from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. The menu was interesting and original with plenty of choice and the restaurant and kitchen were open plan, so we knew our food was freshly cooked. The stir fry came to the table still sizzling in the wok. Included in the very modest cover charge were regional specialities served while we waited for our starters. The staff were young and full of enthusiasm and the whole experience felt more like friends had cooked a meal to share - the chef seemed to really care that we had enjoyed her food. The surroundings were pleasant and the tables were not crowded together. Portions were a good size and we never made it to the desserts, a pity if they were as good as the rest.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to vegetarians, wholefood fans and lovers of good food in general.
