I can only reiterate the three previous reviews regarding this hotel.
Like the other posters my Wife and I are seasoned travellers and have experienced all grades of hotels, from back packer types to luxurious 5 star, so I feel we are quite well qualified to assess this accommodation.
The food was dreadful, a set menu consisting of one meat and one fish main course, Don't know how a vegetarian would fare, and no sight of an A La Carte menu, which is stated on the website, in fact the staff confirmed that there has never been one?
The 24hr "room service", again stated on the website, did not exist, in fact when my Wife and I returned one night and decided to have a nightcap at the bar we were told by the night security guard that the bar always closes at 11pm, this was at 11:15 and we therefore had to go straight to our room. I did however decide to use the mini bar for a glass of baileys, and proceeded to open the two "miniatures" provided, only to be disappointed that they had almost solidified, close inspection of the bottles revealed a use by date of August 2009 !!!!! Only four years out of date !!
The location of the hotel is dreadful, a good 20 mins walk into Arrecife, which is where the locals live so nothing there to cater for any tourists. Don't get me wrong on this point as we didn't want a Blackpool type resort, however it is nice to have a varied choice of bars and restaurants to choose from. For this we travelled, approx. 25 mins by bus, in to Costa Teguise which was far better and somewhere we would return to. So in a nutshell, a 20 min walk followed by a 25 min bus ride to get to a good restaurant and bar.
As previously stated, the staff are very good and were constantly apologising for the standard of food, one saying that although the hotel had received a 5 star rating the restaurant had not been reviewed, so therefore had no rating!! So how they can offer any half or full board status is baffling.
Also, as stated in an earlier post, the pool was freezing cold and not heated as stated on the website, and the Jacuzzi was empty for the duration of our stay.
So a holiday which was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary was a very expensive disappointment.
A very isolated 3 star hotel charging 5 star prices, save your money and go elsewhere is our advice.
