“Good Hotel, but it is not a 5 stars”
Reviewed August 31, 2011

This is a good hotel, well located in Arrecife, but it is not a 5 stars. I was in a suite room, in a high floor with excellent views over the see. Room was big and quite, with free wifi, but furniture and details are not for 5 stars. Swimming pool is small and windy, the gym was closed. Breakfast is just correct. It is a good hotel for business-trip or if you want to avoid hotels "all included" overcrowded of tourists.

Stayed here after our flight home got cancelled and cannot the hotel nor the staff.

We arrived, en masse, at the hotel just before midnight and the staff were excellent at checking in over 100 last minute, disgruntled, fed up, tourists! (no thanks to the airline that went bust!).

Once checked in we were advised to go to the main resturant at 1.00 pm where we would be "watered and fed". Arrived at the resturant to find the staff warm and welcoming (a real credit to them, after all they had probably just finished a shift and had to extend their hours to early morning to accommodate us). We were then served up a hot three course meal with wine which was very much appreciated.

The room was fabulous, large double bed, marble bathroom, large towels and dressing robes, perfect.

Would definately recommend this hotel.

Since 2006 i have been travelling to the Arrecife Hotel and there´s still nothing bad to say from it. The staff is so good, rooms are so comfortable and the views are superb!
Because of my job nature there´s nothing better or close to my job. Love it!

We stayed in this hotel in June 2011 for 4 nights our room was on the tenth floor the hotel is high rise the tallest hotel in Lanzarote situated in a nice place beside a beach and restaurants near by, as well as the main shopping area in the town, rooms were nice the beds were really comfortable with room service however there are no tea making facilities on our last day we went to the top floor where there is a restaurant and bar with wonderful views on our way down we got stuck in the lift we were stuck in it for ten minutes I would of given this hotel five stars before this happened overall I liked this hotel and we will return soon.

This 5 star hotel in the capital of Lanzarote is the one and only high rise building (all 17 storeys) in the vicinity of Arrecife and in fact the tallest building on the island. The restaurant and bar on the top floor offered a commanding view of the city and surrounding range of mountains. However the hotel is more a business hotel of basic standard than a luxury resort.

The one-bedroom suite consists of a bedroom with separate living room, floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the ocean, marina and the nearby public beach. Clean and functional but nothing more to write home about.

The restaurant serves good food (main course 16-20 Euro) with efficient waiter service.

The spa circuit allows one to enjoy the whirlpool, jacuzzi pool, waterfalls, high-pressure jet water massage, steam room, sauna and kneipp walk, but the decor is basic with no wow factor.

Arrecife is a small town with not much going on either. Most holiday makers usually choose to stay on a beach resort rather than this city hotel.

I would not rate this Hotel 5 Star. We stayed for a week, myself and my wife. There was no one to take our luggage to the room, the receptionist had very little english. The rooms were 5 star.with 2 tv's. We stayed on the 12th floor, great sea view and lovely looking beach. When we went down it was covered in glass and couldn't walk on it in our bare feet. No deck chairs on it not even to rent. I took my laptop with me for the free WI Fi and it would not work in my room, i had to go down to reception to get it to work. I kept asking in reception that i wanted it fixed and it never was. There was no wine glasses in the room or tea facilities.I "I asked in reception could we have a kettle in the room, he told us "no kettle buy tea on 17th floor! I bought my own kettle and teabags and coffee as we like this facility. When i asked the head waitor if i could take we take 2 cups back to the room, that we had bought our own kettle he told us that nothing was allowed to be taken out of the restaurant, but then he followed us to the door and gave them. We didn't realise it was fine dining and we would have much preferred the carvery. The meal were excellent but would not fill u. If you are 20 stone do not stay here. There was one potato on the plate the size of a marble, meat was skimpy, they give out plenty of bread rolls so eat plenty of these before ur dinner. There is a very poor selection in braekfast, I love a great big fry, one morning there was no pacakes left, next there was no sausages left, have to boil ur own water in kettles for ur tea. In the afternoon we went up to the 17th foor for a sandwich waited half an hour to order and then we were told that they had run out of bread.. We found the head waiter in the restaurant very friendly and had good english and did look after us well. Overall we did enjoy our stay and had to leave the hotel for any entertainment, we had a lovely room with great views. Definitely not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. I would not reccommend this hotel for a family, only couples.
