“Experience the power of the sea”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Our second visit to Los Hervideros - truly experiencing the power of the sea. We went at sunset as the coast looks out to the west.

“Nature's Boiling Pot!”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We have been many times to this volcanic view point in Lanzarote, The translation for Los Hervideros is 'Boiling Pot'. This 'liquid inferno' never fails to fascinate, where the sheer force of the ocean is breathtaking! It can be reached via a long, winding and beautifully rugged coast road. There are one or two other good viewing points that can be reached easily from the road. If you travel further along the coast road you will reach a very small fishing village- El Golfo - another must when in Lanzarote. There are only a handful of restaurants along the sea front (no shops!) The restaurants are all just as excellent as one another - with a bit of twist - there are no menus! Just fresh fish of the day - caught daily from the very beach you are sitting at... served with Canarian potatoes, mojo sauce and a cold glass of Lanzarote white wine.
(At a distance...)The fisherman gut and wash the fish on the beach too - another fascinating 'watch'! All in all - this part of the Lanzarote coast line is a very pleasant way to spend the morning - with lunch included if you're feeling adventurous enough to try the local catch without a menu....Go on!!

“Very interesting place and Free!!!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Worth a visit if you are on the west side of the island. Free parking as well, most of it wheelchair friendly apart from if you want to go right up close to the viewing areas

“great cliffs”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I know I'm repeating myself, but any corner of Lanzarote appears to be great. The scenery here is really excellent, spectacular waves entering lava caves and crashing onto the rocks with great splashes. You could spend hours watching this show!
