We have visited the park twice, both times travelling there in a hire car. Our first visit was in September 2011 when we visited as a couple. We really enjoyed the time we spent there and thought the entry fee was very reasonable as it included a guided coach tour. The tour is very interesting with spectacular scenery and it was good to hear a little about the islands volcanic history. A couple of displays back at the centre, one with water - the other with brush wood, demonstrate just how hot the ground is just below the surface.
The second time we visited (November 2012), we were accompanied by friends. We caught a ferry from Corralejo, Feurteventura and hired a car from Playa Blanca port. It was great to re-visit with our friends who had not previously been to Lanzarote; they were so pleased we had taken them.
