“Really enjoyed Timanfaya”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

We have visited the park twice, both times travelling there in a hire car. Our first visit was in September 2011 when we visited as a couple. We really enjoyed the time we spent there and thought the entry fee was very reasonable as it included a guided coach tour. The tour is very interesting with spectacular scenery and it was good to hear a little about the islands volcanic history. A couple of displays back at the centre, one with water - the other with brush wood, demonstrate just how hot the ground is just below the surface.

The second time we visited (November 2012), we were accompanied by friends. We caught a ferry from Corralejo, Feurteventura and hired a car from Playa Blanca port. It was great to re-visit with our friends who had not previously been to Lanzarote; they were so pleased we had taken them.

A must visit for all!!! We eally enjoyed seeing the volcanic landscape and a trip to the restaurant to see the food cooking over the natural heat from the earth.

“Timanfaya guided tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

Loved the whole trip! especially the Camel ride for a small extra fee. was pleased to hear the Camels are only expected to do 4 rides and work on a rotation basis so they dont get overworked. Very interesting and spectacular views on the coach tour and very interesting commentary.

“Good, But Could Be Better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

We initially visited because we wanted to do the Camel tour, but was persuaded by one of the guides to do the bus tour instead.

It's a great tour and you get to see some fantastic views, but they should really allow people to get off the bus to take better clearer photographs. It stops so you can take photos, but they're not as clear through the bus window as they would be if you could get off the bus.

There's a little show at the end of the tour with a couple of gezers and there's a restaurant, which we didn't try.
