Our second visit to one of the Papagayo beaches.
We cannot see any down points with the beaches. The one we chose this time was near a camping. We were sheltered by the northern rocks and had the overhanging rock caverns in the afternoon when the January sun was too hot. As usual there were naturists and textiles on the beach, but everyone was respectful for each other and enjoyed the great day.
Going back again next week!

if you want a nice beach, then try here, but it could get busy at peak times, otherwise worth the walk over the hill

You can walk here from Playa Blanca - probably best to follow someone with a beach bag as the route is not obvious. This is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties. Take your own shade and enough to drink. there is a very rough and bumpy track off a roundabout on the way to Ferres from Playa blanca which seems to take forever - and when you think you've reached it you are faced with a number of choices of paths all going to separate coves. The beaches are amazing - long, sandy with stunning views. there is even a cafe by one of the car parks but as we didnt try it I cant say what it was like.
