You don't get any better location than "La Cubana", right bang smack in the middle of Calle O'Daly with cafes, shops, Spar supermarket very near. The sign is quite small, so street number counting is best the first time you visit. Checkin is friendly and quick if the receptionist is present, otherwise your key is waiting via a telephone at the door.
I stayed twice, my first room a spacious double with furnishings to match the old fashioned house. The window overlooked the lively main street that was swelled with cruiseship visitors when i stayed. There didn't seem to be enough bathrooms for the guests to me, both my rooms were not en-suite. No breakfast is offered at the pension but there are plenty of cafes , some of which open very early.
My second night, i had a standard single room, also with old fashioned furniture, but this time with the emphasis on the old, rather than the fashion. It was dull.
La Cubana of course is a budget pension , rooms have no baths or toilets, so the prices reflect this. All in all, it was good value for new arrivals and last night tourists to La PalmaMore
