Small park that is located at large bus station. Few restaurants and bars nearby. Resembles a small plaza like park in the US. This is not a destination park you will spend much time in, but is a nice place to sit in the city.

The best thing about this small park is its location. Halfway between the Port of Las Palmas, with its large shopping mall, and the beach and bars, cafes and restaurants of Las Canteras.

It is also where the main bus routes come through for getting to other parts of the City and the Island. There are news stands and cafes dotted around the park and you will find local folk and business people use it as a meeting place to discuss their day over a coffee.

The biggest event is the Carnaval (yes, that is how they spell it) over a couple of weeks in February and Catalina Park is where they erect a temporary mammoth stage and auditorium where televised carnival competitions and entertainment is held in the open air.

A nice park with good bars and restaurants - well priced food and a great location for meeting up with friends and enjoying the atmosphere and sunshine
