This is a very good hotel. The rooms are clean. The Summit are overpriced but the other restaurants including the Fiesta bar are good. The service are one of the best and this is a good hotel that we come back to.

I stayed here on recommendation of friend who had stayed here a few years ago. She said it was really fantastic - very elegant and high quality. Something seems to have changed, however since then. I found it OK - but certainly not more than that. Rooms were quite small. Furnishings were cheap - tacky - and uncomfortable. Buffet breakfast was OK - but just so. Fresh squeezed OJ was best part - but the rest of the food was very ordinary - and not always fresh. Coffee was the worst I've ever had - thank goodness they had a cappuccino machine!! That was a life saver! Then came the thing about the "beach towel". It was not of good heavy duty beach towel quality! They gave you the towel on the first day - and that's what you got. If you wanted a replacement towel, you were charged for it...never mind that the towel had residual sand and probably not very sanitary. That's all you get unless you wanted to pay for a replacement! Then, the rooftop pool and lounge - if you bought a drink, you'd get a less-than-handful of peanuts (nice)...but if you bought another drink, you had to pay extra for that less-than-handful of peanuts. It wasn't a lot - but it's the principle of the thing. Expensive hotel...CHEAP and stingy perks! I have to say that most of the people working there were very nice. Front desk couldn't have been nicer (Helmut from Switzerland :)) and the room maintenance was very quick and efficient. Some of the wait staff was pleasant - but you could tell they were worked very hard - and probably not appreciated. All-in-all - the location is very nice - but the hotel rates maybe 3-Stars - certainly not 5!! It was quite a disappointment!

Room tip: Make sure you ask for which floor - and certainly tell them you want SEA SIDE! Otherwise, you get the street side - no view and noisy!!

Right on the best part of las Canteras, 10 metres from the beach lies this fantastic hotel.
It is immaculately well tended with kind and helpful staff, the breakfast is great and the common areas are generously large as well as cozy.
Every evening of the week there is live music in the lobby with either a harpist, a violinist or a small ”jazz band” playing contemporary music.
The rooftop pool as well as the spa is free for all residents of the hotel and there are also sunbeds out on the beach which are reserved for guests of the hotel.
The best part, however, is the fact that its right in the middle of a big city with lots of opportunities for food, drink, cultural activities, people watching and general city life
Reina Isabel is like a luxuary cruise ship but on land, which means you can go out and enjoy the beatiful city of las Palmas anytime you like.
You do need to spring for a room with sea view to get the best experience.

We went Thursday to Monday and had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms were really clean and well kept. There was air conditioning in the room, which was needed as it reached about 37c according to the temperature gauge on the promenade. Just a hint on the A/C make sure the glass balcony doors are properly closed otherwise the A/C will not start up.
All of the staff we spoke to at reception, at the breakfast area, and at the various bars (rooftop by the pool, and on the front by the promenade) were all very helpful and friendly, in particular one called Arthur (I think he was Portugese) who even gave us some really good places to eat (we were only bed and breakfast at the hotel).
The breakfast buffet was really nice, plenty of different types of food to eat, and omelettes made to order if you wanted them.
Would go back to this hotel definitely if we go this resort again.

Room tip: All the rooms looked good from what we saw

We stayed here for two weeks and could not fault the hotel. The staff were wonderful always cheerful and helpful . It is in a perfect location with sun beds available on the beach and around the pool .Local buses run nearby and we found it the perfect base to explore this fascinating island.
