This is our last day of 9 days in Reina Isabel. I honestly have a job to find faults.
Firstly and most importantly the staff are excellent. Friendly, helpful and extremely good at there jobs. There seems to be a real enjoyment and teamwork about them and I simply can't fault a single one of them. There seems to be separate managers for each area and nothing is too much for them.
The hotel itself is in an excellent position and the rooms are good. We stayed in 2 different rooms and I would say sea view and the higher the better to make the most of the fabulous sunsets. The shower is excellent and all fixtures fittings are of a high quality. Beds comfy, balconies good and air con is quiet and works well.
The roof area with pool and sunbeds is very good with sun all day, amazing views and we always found 2 sunbeds. Pool is a bit nippy but the pool in the amazing free spa area is a bit warmer. The bar staff in this area are excellent and friendly with drinks being brought to your sunbed when ordered. They currently have live music on Tuesday and Thursday up in this bar area which was varied and good.
The restaurant has an excellent range of foods for all tastes with a section where they freshly cook you various changing dishes ever day. Most importantly it's all hot ,with hot plates if you want them and a microwave should you wish it super hot which we never used. The breakfast is the same with fresh omlettes, bacon, sausages freshly cooked for you should you wish. They also have free vodka and prosecco should you wish. We did . Best restaurant of this type we have ever been to, just be prepared for expanding waistlines should you go half board.
I read about beggars and down and outs on a previous post and I'm afraid I just don't agree. We saw a couple in quiet areas but hardly any on the main beachfront. There are people selling things along the front but all very quietly and no hard sell and there are quiet a few musicians playing in various areas. It all felt very safe and friendly to us. They really are friendly but not overzealous locals and the same attitude seems to be all over this island.
I would say this hotel is probably not ideal for young kids but we did see a couple during our stay. The resort itself is brilliant for families who want to spend days on the beach and anyone else who wants a beautiful relaxing holiday with great restaurants, bars, beautiful beach and lovely sunsets.

Very beautiful hotel! I had a single romm and it was ok. It has been cleaned every day and towels have been changed, too. I couldn`t book a room with sea view anymore but it was fine. Sometimes a little bit noisy because of the cars. However, the windows are well isolated so falling asleep wasn`t an issue.
Seriously, never experienced such a nice atmosphere and staff. The employees are sooo nice and helpful but still not intrusive at all.
I had breakfast and it was very very tasty!
I was travelling alone but felt like at home.
The hotel is placed directly at the beach with sun chairs for free but also have a city to the other side.
Long beautiful promenade full with restaurants. A lot of opportunities to have dinner.
Also in walking distance to surf schools.

All in all I really recommend this hotel and will come back.

Very well placed being close to both the city centre and on the beach. The hotel itself is very clean and professionally run by ever smiling and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast is varied and plentiful although some of the stuff these Johnny foreigners eat is a little strange. The one big let down (although this is not the hotel's fault) is the number of beggars and down and out's clustered around the shop's and bars in the area.We enjoyed the holiday immensely and we'd probably go back again.

Room tip: Pay the extra for a sea-view

Stayed here for a week for a family holiday in June.We were disappointed to find out we had actually booked to stay in the cloudy north instead of the sunny south and that we were actually staying in the capital, but that was our fault! I can't complain about anything to do with our stay.Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were a good size, we would have preferred a sea view but that cost extra. There was a kettle provided when asked and a fridge in the room so we could make cups of tea.Bathroom was a nice size.Breakfast was included and there was a lot of choice. It did get busy but you were found a table very quickly.Loved using the spa which included a salt water pool as well as another pool, massage bed, steam and saunas too.The gym was good too, good choice of equipment but it did get hot in there with no air conditioning. The pool on the roof was nice but it does get busy so getting sunbeds can be a challenge! There was also a solarium area with sunbeds which you could go to sun bathe which had sun beds on.The hotel was right on the beach and as you were staying in the hotel these were free. There was a lot of bars and restaurants to choose from along the promenade to go for something to eat. There is also a shopping centre Las Arenas which is about half an hours walk from the hotel which had 3 floors and quite a few shops and places to eat.Overall a really nice hotel.

We booked a Suite, not overlooking the sea. The so called suite is nothing like the photos. Apparently only suites with sea view are like the photos. This "suite" is cramped, completely charmless and noisy. There are two rooms: a bedroom and one, small, dark room with a small table and some orange chairs.
The staggering thing is that the service upon our complaints has been literally non-existing. In our experience no real effort has been made to try to find a room to change, although we offered even to go for a regular room. The staff have come across as on the verge of being rude and one even replied when I sad we thought the suite/room was pretty horrible, "Yes, I know."
No effort to "sweeten the pill", no consolation or sincere "We are so sorry you are unhappy...".
The location is good, the breakfast is very nice, but SUITE TERRIBLE and SERVICE when unhappy VERY BAD.
