Fabulous location across the broad walk straight onto beach. Staff very courteous and helpful. As much breakfast as you want with good selection. Only had one evening meal on the day we arrived Main restaurant menu not very inspiring and as there are great restaurants all along the front we tried quite a few which added to our stay. A la carte restaurant on the top floor next to great pool did great food. The spa offered great deals at a sensible price. On the whole I would definitely recommend it and will be returning.

Room tip: Best views and quietness ask for sea view as the front of the hotel overlooks main street

Stayed early March for six days and booked a sea-view room direct with the hotel. The weather was cold and overcast more or less throughout. However, this did not detract from the fact that this is a very good hotel. It is right on the Paseo de las Canteras and its wonderful beach but 15 -20 minutes easy walk to the city centre and 5 minutes to Santa Catalina Square where the bus station and tourist info office are located. We stayed half-board and ate in the Roma restaurant where the buffet breakfasts and dinners are excellent with very good service from a super competent staff. Clean white tablecloths all round, food to suit everyone's taste - you would be hard to please if you found nothing to your liking. Wine prices were reasonable - a lot more so than some places I could mention. 2 euros for a glass of house wine and bottles from under 10 euros. Our room was good but you can pay less for a city view room. We intend to return in the autumn and I believe the hotel is closed in May. A point of possible interest is the shore at low tide further toward the town: there are rock pools and there was an egret there and later on a curlew feeding. Lots of little fish in the rock pools and shoals of bigger ones swimming around your knees - delightful! The beach is good for swimming at low tide because the reef protects it from the breakers. Atlantic waters clean as a whistle and the beach is very well maintained.

Room tip: Room 341 spacious, quiet, sea view. If weather cold, ask for extra blankets. Room a bit parky but author likes it warm.

A lovely hotel with the best beach of the Island in frony of it. On arriving very friendly and efficient receptionist and very helpful. our room was not quite ready so we went into the cfe to eat. Again very friendly and helpful staff. Then someone came to tell us our room was ready and our case already up there.

The hotel itself is slightly faded in parts but this is made up by the friendliuestof all the staff. Ourroom was very clean andhad a wonderful view over the sea.

Breakfast was great a really good selction ofhot, cold, slads and eggs which were fresly cooked. Again lovely staff and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel to any age. the rooftop terrace had sunbeds and a swimming pool plus a cafe to drinks and food.

Towels were provided by the hotel for swimming as were the beach beds. felt very sorry leaving.

Room tip: Sea views essential

Great location and very friendly and efficient staff. My room had been upgraded to a junior suite: a spacious room, not overlooked, lovely view. Good restaurant and pool area upstairs with a wonderful view. Travelling solo, I appreciated the good room and the nice tables I got in the breakfast room.

Some minor inconveniences: when asking where I could switch on the lights of the balcony, the guy in the reception replied "Sorry but you can't" and hung up. The steam system did not work in the sauna (and no staff member visible; this was in the evening). Minibar needs cleaning. Vegetable selection very limited in the breakfast buffet.

Room tip: Opt for a sea view!

Wonderful hotel in the capital. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, leafy squares and a major Commercial Centre. Also the harbour. Taxis on the doorstep. On the beach which is patrolled daily by lifeguards. Great staff throughout from reception to waiters. Nothing is too much trouble. Food equally excellent with daily changes to menu. Half board really good value. Also caters for special diets - gluten free etc. Holiday with Jet2.com. Las Palmas is a great city to explore. Airport 20 minutes .

Room tip: Request Seaview room. Town view is just rooftops with the docks in the distance.
