We stayed here for two nights as part of a two week holiday in Gran Canaria.
The hotel looks quite impressive from outside and the reception area is very large and imposing.
Our room was overlooking the sea and we thought the room was a bit small and old fashioned although it was clean. The bathroom was OK with a shower over the bath and complimentary toiletries but I would have expected lovely thick bath sheets instead of pretty threadbare bath towels. There was a smell of drains which we discovered to be coming from a bidet which cleared after we flushed water down it. Obviously not been used for some time.
It would also have been nice to have complimentary tea or coffee making facilities instead of one small bottle of water for the two of us.
This hotel was being used mainly by older people, me included, but I was not impressed by the waterproof mattress protector on my bed !!
I have never seen such a vast choice of dishes at breakfast spread out over a wide area which unfortunately had guests wandering around trying to find what they wanted. There was also food being freshly cooked on request which was nice.
The staff were all very professional and friendly.
I booked through an on line booking site so got what I thought was a good price but there is no way that I would pay full price for this hotel.

This is an excellent hotel for a relaxing holiday in Las Palmas. Location couldn't be better: right in front of a beautiful beach. You can walk along the beach or walk into the city. There are lots of shopping possibilities too. We had a nice room with large terrace and ocean view on the fourth floor. Room and bathroom were very clean. Wifi was ok and free. We had half board: breakfast and dinner were really excellent. On the eighth floor is a nice swimming pool, bar and a good a la carte restaurant.. The hotel has a nice and large terrace where it is very pleasant to sit and have a drink. Staff in restaurant, bar and reception were all very frienly and helpful. Though it is a big hotel it has a personal touch thanks to the friendly staff. I really think this is one of the best hotels in Las Palmas and I hope to come back.

This is our 5th visit to this hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite so it was a nice surprise. The breakfast is super good and deserves five stars as does the hotel in many ways. The location could not be better. You can combine a beach holiday and a city holiday. The staff is excellent! Can warmly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: If you would like a sunny balcony, do not choose sea view room. Junior suite is worth the money.

In many ways, an ideal hotel-the spa is lovely, pool nice, views astonishingly spectacular. Buffet breakfast perfectly fine, apart from the lousy coffee. However, for a hotel that charges over 300 Euro per night, it is equally astonishing that 1) they charge for one measly towel guaranteed beach loungers--we spent 30 minutes schlepping from one beach hut to the other, only to be told they were all out of them, then had to go back to the reception desk for coupons, return to the beach for tacky plastic chairs--instead of loungers, and wait till others had left to finally gain access to them.

This is a very good hotel. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is as it should be first clas. On the top you have a very good restaurant Summum with excellent courses. This is one of the best hotels in Las Palmas and we come back twice each year.
