Owner description: Christopher Columbus' house is now a history museum, displaying several of his belongings, including his drawings, journals and a portrait.

Was interesting but felt a little irrelevant to the island since Cristopher Columbus spent so little time here. Probably one of the better things to do in a relatively boring town.

Myself and my husband visited Casa de Colon during a day trip to Las Palmas. Entry fee is 4 Euros but it is really worth spending it The building and the patio is wonderful, and you can see a lot of historic stuff there.

An interesting exhibition of Columbus related artefacts in the setting of a lovely historic house. Reasonable entry price, currently 4 euros per adult and 2.50 for concessions.

If you want to know a little bit more about the history of boat sailling and the discovery of the American continent, this is a good place to visit with many ancient maps and tools sailors used to navigate.

This is a must see during your visit to Vegueta. The museum has old maps that show the world without the Americas, traced voyages (all four) by Colon, and his own handwritten notes during his voyages
