“A view to Tenerife and the Volcan del Teide.”
Review of Pinar de Tamadaba

Great place to relax under the shades of an native type of pine that only grows in the Canary Islands... Most of the time there is so few people you can hear your own thought walking thru your brain.... besides if you are not scared of heights in clear days (most year round) you will get beautiful views of Tenerife, probably La Gomera, and even La Palma... beside you get to see the magnificent Volcán del Teide, the highest mountain in Spain, reaching over 3.700 metes over sea level... and if you go during winter you will feet white due to snow that usually last from late october until april.

There is a wonderful walk you can do from Agaete to Pinar de Tamadaba. It is a beautiful pine forest set on the Tamadaba mountain. The whole round trip is several hours long but it is absolutely worth. Pay attention to a wood sign "Tamadaba" located at the beginning of the path (second roundabout coming from Puerto de Las Nieves), follow the path (rather clear, you will cross the car road once) and pay attention since there are no signs during the first part. You will find another wooden arrow before the steep uphill part of the path, getting to pinar in an hour or so. All along the walk you will enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and surroundings. The pinar is a paradise of peace and beauty, you will be rewarded for the effort.
