Description: Above all, the Gomeran fish casserole. The excellent surrounding sea, its unique crops and characteristic manners are its gastronomy’s main ingredients - simple and tasty. Traditional dishes include watercress soup, ‘almogrote’ (cheese paste), boiled blennies and caramelized milk with palm syrup.

We allways visit the parador whenever we are in San Sebastian - the house, ground, plants and wievs are out of this World. The patios are lovely and you can enjoy a great lunch on fresh local produce here at a quite reasonable Price.

We had a 3-course dinner (croquetas caseras, crema de berros, duck, sorbet and chocolate dessert), all was average, and too salty. Nicely presented though. Certainly not worth the price. We stay at the hotel but will avoid to eat there again unless we are really lazy one evening.

Have dined at the Parador on most trips to Gomera, and always had a very good meal. The restaurant focuses on local dishes with a certain extra finesse. Fish and pork dishes in particular have been especially successful, although the partridge pate to start is delicious too. The restaurant is rather more formal than others on the island, bur staffed by very friendly locals who are helpful and welcoming. Prices are a little on the high side course by course, so it's best to go for the three course option which at about €32 is good value. The wine list offers an interesting and good selection at good prices, if again on the higher side for Gomera. We have often gone here on the last night of our holiday for a final celebration and have always enjoyed it thoroughly.
