“A very pleasant holiday golf course”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

We played both the Fuerteventura golf course, and this one next door to it. Las Salinas was the hands down winner, for several reasons. There are villas close to both courses, but they are far less invasive on Las Salinas, with probably only 3 or 4 shots where a villa comes slightly into play, so there was no real worry of finding a sunbather or a window with a shot. The course was also much less busy than FGC, we put this down to the deals available, it does seem that you can get a package deal on FGC for less than Las Salinas. This suited us, as two of the three rounds we played here we had the course to ourselves. The fairways were well cut and gave plenty of run, and the greens were also well cut and in good condition. No roads come into play at all, (unlike FGC). The course itself is well designed with some good challenging holes. What we weren't so fond of was the picon and rock rough areas where you are expected to play out from. Also the bunkers, far too many of them, far too big and in an appalling condition. I said to my wife when I saw the plants filling the first bunker we came across, " I don't know why they bother with these bunkers", her reply was "they don't". Now I understand that maintaining these bunkers must require some serious manpower, however if you don't have that manpower then lose some of that bunker area. My advice would be that the toughest hazard we encountered was the grass where it had been allowed to grow to a couple of inches, that stuff just grabs your club and won't let go, so the solution is simple, cut right down on the bunkers and let the grass grow a little, same with the picon, just grow some grass, not too long so the ball can't be found but long enough to do the job. This will actually make the course harder, but surely much cheaper to maintain. When we come to Fuerteventura again we will play this course. We would stay either in a villa on the course or at one of the AI hotels just down the road.

“Pleasant but not going back!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Played one round here along with two rounds at Fuerteventura Golf Club. Very new (believe open four/five years) Obviously short of water with many of the water features dry - along with the fairways! Greens were acceptable. Very tight and clever design but doubles around and not the easiest to follow -especially as we had one of these 'very expensive to hire' buggies that seem all the rage in Spain - 38 Euros along with 112 euros for the round for two makes it an expensive round of golf on a very basic course. Vast amounts of volcanic grit that has to be played out of (you get a free drop from this stuff at Fuerteventura Golf) and needless to say no way that I was going to play off this stuff with my clubs. One visitor who had played it before (and back for more!) had a couple of spare old irons along with him to use in these conditions!! Very quiet on the course - turned up at a pre-booked time but able to go straight out - only came across one other couple! Have read one or two of the other reviews - not sure where the word "Brilliant" comes into it but as they say - one mans meat! Nice day out and an experience but will not be playing it again!

This is a fantastic golf course, Greens are excellent, views are fabulous, not as much wild life as there is on fuerteventura golf course [elba palace] Course staff really nice. and you will find this a really good challenging course.. Hole 4 and 11 are really tough, I recommend a visit.. you won't be disappointed..

“Golf delight”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

I was introduced to this short but challenging golf course by a friend who has a house adjacent to the complex. The weather an absolute bonus from the cold and snow left behind in Wales. The staff in the clubhouse were very pleasant and tolerant of a complete non-Spanish speaker Green fees and buggy hire were reasonable. Buggies, however, very much in demand and limited in number.Reservation should be made a few days in advance

“Pleasant Holiday Golf Course”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

A perfect holiday golf course, excellent condition, quite a lot of water to avoid and fairly quick greens.Just over 6000 yards from the white tees but a very pleasant, quite challenging, fun golf course. We played two rounds and found it to be a challenge on both occasions ( not such a challenge as Fuerteventura Golf Club), the clubhouse restaurant and bar is very laid back and the service was excellent as were the prices. All the staff made welcome
