we spent 7 nights at this hotel with our 9 year old daughter. Our room (suite) was very spacious with a pull out sofa bed, althought we wondered why the bathroom ws so small in comparison with the walk in wardrobe.

The hotel is located just across the road from a lovely clear sea inlet which has swimming-pool type steps for access if you don't want to jump in. Lots of fish to see (even without snorkels). The highlight for us was the walk round the headland to the harbour in the evening with a stop off at the Club Nautico for a drink on their terrace - a fantastic view of the city from this angle. Best meal was at the Cafe Balear - mainly fresh fish and sea food, but the Es Port was good too, in particular its Menu del dia. All the restaurants are right by the waterside and great for people watching and feeding big fish. We also went to the Aqua park at Cala'n Bosch - expensive, but cheaper if you go after 2.30pm - not very many different rides, but ok for younger children.

We started a tour of Menorca with one night at this hotel and weren't disappointed. First of all, the staff were really helpful and friendly on check in. We were put into a suite even though we only booked a standard room. It was lovely, a nice view of the estuary, and a separate bedroom, with extra large bed, sofa and coffee table.
The pool area was modern and swish as is the rest of the hotel. It's located a good 20 minute walk to the centre of this charming port. Although Ciutadella is officially the second town, it's much nicer than Mahon and much more Spanish in feel. Try the Sa Clau jazz bar (Marina 93) for a cool late night cockail - it's built into a cave. For food - you're spoilt for choice, though we enjoyed Bar Aurora on Placa Alfons III for that local feel.
For a short stay - you can't go wrong with this hotel - and it makes a great base to explore this beautiful island.

We stayed here for a week end June/early July. We were not disappointed. As others have mentioned the rooms vary in size this is regardless of where in the hotel you are, the rooms at the front and back differ in size.
We booked direct with the hotel and were lucky enough to be given a suite and my father had a room at the back on the first floor but it was huge and had more wardrobe space than the suite. Our daughter wasn't so lucky as she was given room 160 on the ground floor which was much smaller and had a view of the bottle bank, she wasn't worried though as she was only staying four nights and she found the room quiet.
The rooms are modern and well furnished although we found the suite despite being very spacious had little storage even though there was a dressing room and some of the bedrooms had much more wardrobe and drawer space, It would be nice if the hotel put mirrors over the desk to allow it to be used as a dressing table and more shelf space in the bathrooms for toiletries.
We found the reception staff very helpful and pleasant as were most of the bar staff, We ate lunch in the bar and the quality is very good and good value,
The only irritation is that despite the hotel saying in their hotel guide that pool lounger reserving is not allowed we found this happening more and more towards the end of our holiday ,mostly by british! The hotel said however if anyone wanted to sit with an umbrella for shade and those available had been reserved and were not being used they would remove the items on them.
If you hire a car there is free street parking outside and an underground car park for a small fee.
We ate in town and by the harbour but couldn't say any were special ,the harbour area is certainly more pleasant to sit outside with a view, If you eat off the menu of the day it is good value and usually good quality.
It is refreshing to find such a good quality hotel, conveniently located, that is not just based on tourists, We very much enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I spent a week at the hotel. We had good expectations after reading all the reviews, but were extremely disappointed with the room they gave us. We booked the standard room, but I was not expecting such a narrow and tiny room. It also smelt of moist. And the worst of all, when we opened the windows we had a view to the rubbish bins in the street!! We were quite unlucky it seems, as we got the worst room of the hotel, which is number 159. So if you book with them, ask them explicitly not to book you on room 159 or 160 (same horrible views, as both are on the ground floor just in front of the rubbish bins).

We complained about it but the hotel was fully booked and we had to stay at the same room for 2 nights. On the third night, after complaining 3 times, they moved us to a room on the first floor and we could see a big the difference. The amazing thing is that rooms 159/160 and room 216 (and other similar rooms on the first floor facing the back) have the same price, which is crazy because there is a big difference between them. So if you get lucky and you get one of the first floor rooms you might enjoy your stay without problem, but if you get one of the tiny rooms on the ground floor you will be quite upset since the quality in this case is far below what you would expect for a 4 stars hotel.

Apart from that, the service is very good and restaurant staff are friendly (not the front desk ones though, maybe because we were complaining about the room). The breakfast has lots of choice but the quality is average. For instance, you can get fresh orange juice but you have to pay 3 euros for it.

On the bright side, the hotel is located in a very calm area, meaning you can have a soundless sleep. The beds are also great. We didn’t use the pool since we preferred to explore the small beaches of the island, but it did look very good and clean.

In summary, if you get a good room you will be happy enough. But bear in mind it’s a lottery. I won’t be going back to this hotel.

this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in on holiday.we were after a quiet, relaxing and child free break and apart from 2 or 3 young children our wishes came true.no loudspeakers or dancing around or in the pool(think of turkish hotels),no inflatables in the pool and no daft games going on anywhere.just total relaxation and a swim you could enjoy anytime.the room we were given was a suite, huge bedroom with any amount wardrobe space, lounge area with sofa armchair and t.v. and the bathroom was1st class.the breakfast room was immaculate and served up a good choice food.the walk into the old town on an evening(20 mins) around in the direction of the harbour was a beautiful way to get to the many restaurants on the harbour side.if you wanted a quicker walk without the scenery you could get there in about 10 to 15 mins.on the harbour side you were spoilt for choice for restaurants, the a la carte was a bit expensive but the meal of the day was also available everywhere and you could pick up a decent evening meal for 2 for about 40 euros including a bottle of good wine.altogether a great 2 weeks holiday with good grub.top food spot was the roma italians in the old town you will not be disapointed.
