We booked this hotel by mistake, when a family member said they had stayed there, but they meant same name but othe island. Thank goodness they did. We had a great time there. Clean rooms every day and views from the breakfast area which also doubles as a bar seating area, to die for.the staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing seems to musc trouble. We arrived before the room was ready and was warmly welcomed. We we shown to the bar and asked if we would like a coffe tea or beer. Well as on holiday we both chose a beer. When I offered the money, I was to the drinks were on the house. We were shown two rooms and asked which one we wanted. We chose one with a balcony overlooking the road and field at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast (continental) which is in the main hotel was fresh and with plenty of choices. 08:30 to 10:30. The area is quiet with just a few usual rev mad moped riders every now an then. About 15-20 stroll in the the centre of town. There are a couple of eating places and a small shop just across the inlet tha are fair priced and decent food. Fusion is one that we ate in a couple of times. A few suggestions - take a travel kettle as the rooms are not self catering. There is a small fridge. Ceiling fans over the bed keep a gentle breeze. Change the language on the tv through menu to Australian for English to channels. You will need to flick through to find them, mostly American crime programs like castle etc. The shops etc shut 2 to 5 ish. Don't expect to eat before 8 pm so pig out at lunch time. You will need to head to town to eat at your preferred time. There is an area just below the hotel on the rocks where you can swim in the inlet. Don't be surprised to see some without inibitions walking around, swimming or sunbathing topless or even nude there. I last day meant we left before breakfast, so we're told anything we wanted the day before was free.

This hotel is basic, but perfect. The rooms are nothing special and the colour scheme is curious but it is charming and comfortable. The staff are unbelievably friendly and attentive and the location is heaven. If you are looking for plush bedding, upgraded furniture and innovative amenities, this may not be the place for you, but if you want quaint, quiet, friendly and a relaxed atmosphere, don’t look anywhere else. The private swim area is stunning and the view from the patio is serene. I wish I didn’t wait 35 years to visit. I’ve been missing out on something special. I’m a female solo traveller and couldn’t feel more safe. I have a permanent grin - this place is exactly what I was looking for.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently. Although a fairly basic hotel, it does everything you'd expect it to do, with reasonable sized rooms (small bath/shower room, no aircon but does have fans) some room with views and/or balconies, fairly good breakfast and a pool. What really made this for us was the owner and staff. Right from the welcoming drinks (on the terrace overlooking the Platja Gran - inlet of the sea) to the helpful advice, friendliness and willingness to engage with guests, this really made us feel welcome and at home. Not far from the old town, so you can either walk along the Carrer Mallorca (straight road up into town) or take the left turn after the small beach (Cala Platje Gran) and along the Passeig Maritim (much nicer, especially in the evening) which will take you round to the harbour and up to town that way. They have their own steps down to the Platje Gran at the back of the hotel, so you can swim across this part of the inlet. Plenty of people in the water here, so very popular! Or you can swim in the small pool and sit on the loungers to dry off. Just be aware that they don't allow use of room towels in the pool or swimming at the back, so you'll need to bring your own or buy locally. I think the hotel closes for the winter months (Sept - March possibly?) as the owner was looking forward to his well deserved winter vacation in Asia and South America!!

Room tip: If you can get a balcony or view, ask on arrival?
