“Beautiful But Overpriced”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

With a 9 euro entrance fee and 4 euro for an audio guide I felt it was overpriced for aprroximately 1 hour, we didn't rush either. If the audio guide wasn't purchased there was very little information in each room. This is the first time we have had to purchase a audio guide and there was no mention of this on the price board. It is only offered after you have paid and on your way in. Other than that the Palace is very beautiful and has wonderful views over Palma.

“waste of money and time...”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Not worth the money. Ticket seller told us that we could see how the kings lived. Well, they must have lived on the floors, because there is not much furniture to be seen. A few chairs, wood boxes and many carpets on the walls and that’s it. Unless you are into rags, it is not worth the visit.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Make sure you get the audio guide - it isn't always offered and is free. It is next to Le Seu (cathedral). A good place to take nice photos over the city of Palma too.

The Palau de l'Almudaina, which is situated next-door to Palma Cathedral (Le Seu), is very impressive! Anyone who loves architecture will absolutely love the highly decorated coffered ceilings and the sheer grandeur found within! There is also a great deal of beautiful artwork to be found inside. The ticket price is about 8 euros (cheaper for concessions), which is quite pricey, but if you are in Palma for a cultural visit then this is a must-see! If not, then it's still worth a visit to see how the other half lived!

“Pretty but pricey.”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The palace is small and charming, with some interesting tapestries, Arab style bath and chapel. The views are nice from the terrace and the courtyard is an oasis of calm and cool.
However, the entrance fee is very high (€9!!) for something that is pretty empty and takes less than an hour to walk around.
Unlike the Cathedral next door, I wouldn't go back.

The gardens around the palace and cathedral area are a nice place to wander through, with buskers and stalls, fountains and shady trees.
