Owner description: Mercantile exchange established in the Middle Ages.
Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

Lovely old building near the sea front. It was a mercantile exchange in days gone by but now houses exhibitions. Entry is free.

Lots of bistros bars and restaurants around the adjacent square make this an ideal place to linger for an hour or two.

La Llotja is a beautiful building near the port of Palma that has a long history from the medieval times. Nowadays it hosts a small art gallery, which is free to enter (at least when we visited!). Not that spectacular, but fun to visit and as said the building is worth seeing as its own. La Llotja is worth checking out if you happen to be near, but clearly it doesn't have that much to offer as some other historic buildings in Palma like La Seu or Bellver Castle.

Been here many times and we will never get tired of going back for more. There are two dozens of the best restaurants here and many great bars. Fantastic

The stately old building, once used for trading is now fully restored and houses temporary art exhibits and brief tours. The square in front of the Llotja is the opening to the heart of old town Palma, always active at night. When it is open, walk right in, entry is free.

Great architecture - located in heart of Palma. Near to cafes, harbor. Often times there are art expositions inside. Guides only in Mallorquin, though. Guards are pleasant and speak spanish too.
