My family and I were in Palma for the first time in July 2013. We had a whole day to do sightseeing and explore the island. Having read about it, I decided that would it worth it going to Soller via bus to see the charming little town. It was pretty easy to navigate out of the harbor and get to the main bus terminal. We got onto to the bus to Soller (6 euros) and half way there we decided to stop in Valdemossa. It was such a charming and neat little town, we decide to spend a few hours walking around and taking some photographs. Needless to say we never made it to Soller.

we had arrived here on a cruise stop and were so pleased that there was a 9am mass at one of the side altars. The cathedral itself is beautiful, very dark but just awesome.

This is one of the biggest church cathedrals in the world, roughly in the same size than Notre Dame in Paris. It's magnificent both inside and outside. It's surrounded by Parc del Mar, a park by the sea, with a large pool and fountain, which provide a beautiful setting for the cathedral. We paid 6 euros/person to go inside and it was worth it, the interior is amazing. You can take pictures without flash inside. The only disappointment was that there was no access to the bell tower, but all in all La Seu is a must when visiting Palma.
