Hotel Saratoga

We stay in Palma town for a week every year but this was the first at Hotel Saratoga. We arrived early in the morning before the check in time but reception staff locked our luggage safely away.as we walked into town. All the staff were very helpful & requests were attended to straight away. The room, 115, overlooking the pool with a balcony, was quiet without any traffic noise from the road at the front of the hotel. Breakfast offered a wide selection of hot & cold dishes and drinks. More fully functioning hot drink machines would be useful to alleviate the queues but the coffee was excellent. We look forward to a return stay.

Room Tip: A superior room at the rear of the hotel.

We booked direct with the hotel and got a good price on a superior double which was at the
back of the hotel overlooking a side street. The room was modern, clean , of a reasonable size
and had a good bathroom. We paid a reduced rate in advance for breakfast which proved
to be good for what we wanted - a typical Spanish continental breakfast.
We did not use the restaurant but did make use of the bar/jazz club which had great views
but you had to be patient as the service could sometimes be very slow.
There are lots of good restaurants near to the hotel as it is in a great central location.
The only downside to our visit (which was at the end of April) was that the aircon was not
in use until May so the room was very hot at night. We tried to alleviate this by leaving the balcony doors open but this meant there was quite a lot of noise at times.
Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return at a different time of year.

I often stay with friends in Majorca so when in Palma I always spend an evening in the jazz lounge to catch some live music. It's a classy venue but the music will make you feel relaxed and entertained. Go get some Palma culture and enjoy….

Turn right and right again out of the hotel and in a few minutes you are walking down the main shopping area of Palma. Just € 20 or 15 minutes from the airport, this is a well located hotel, but a beach is a short buss or cab ride away. The hotel has 2 pools but the one photographed is a T shaped small pool with limted seating (it is on the roof) for only a dozen loungers plus a few extra tables. The roof top pool is therefore busy and more than 2 or 3 people doing lengths makes it feel crowded. It doesn’t open until 10am. However the main pool does but is in shade much of the time. I stayed in a newly refurbished room on the 5th floor with a balcony and it was a very comfortable experience with good air con and nice big shower (but no bath). Breakfast is good. Nice coffee. I’d recommend it. Bar CUBA is a few minutes walk away and is kicking from about 11:30pm. There are several restaurants also close by as well as the Museum of Moderm and Contemporary art.

Room Tip: Make sure you get one of their modern refurbished rooms - the huge shower is great

This hotel is well priced and is in a great position to be able to walk everywhere and feels safe at night. Actually all of Palma felt safe at night!
The room was fine, clean, comfy.
We didn't eat there at all, in fact the concierge told us there were plenty of nice places for breakfast close by. Breakfast in the hotel was overpriced.
There was a flood on our floor during our stay, it didn't affect us, and it seemed to be handled well by the staff.
But the best thing was the concierge, don't remember his name, who recommended for us 3 nights in a row the most fantastic places to eat. Absolutely blown away and spoiled by the food in Palma thanks to this man. Would recommend the hotel for his wisdom alone

Room Tip: Front facing have a nicebalcony

Sorry for the late refiew....Came here with family from the States for brothers wedding in December. The staff was very helpful in all our needs. The breakfast was quite good with many selections to choose from.
We faced the street and the noise from the birds in the trees right at our window was quite loud at night! People cars underneath were destroyed with bird droppings every morning!!
The location was great, we could walk anywhere from here..so this was the best part.
Also, the restaurant on top floor was a favorite hangout for all of us every evening. Food good-wine great!!

Stayed for 6 nights in July and based on the average review from fellow travellers, I have to admit to a little nervousness. We did stay in one of the newly re-furnished suites, which was both extremely clean, very fresh and has a lovely view and good narrow balcony round two sides (it was wide enough to sit out and share a few drinks with friends on an evening). The bathroom was excellent, and the furniture & bed all very new...although it would be nice to have a few photos on the wall...which were very bare !!! ....I am used to receiving complimentary mini-bars and snacks, but they are not supplied.

The food in the bar was very good (I ate fish usually) and well priced, the service was excellent
and the 2 live bands I saw, very good (and well supported by tourists and locals a like).

The swimming pools are small, .....and there are just a few sunbeds, so early starts are required to secure a bed, especially on the rooftop. The gym was disappointing and is very small, some machines very old and very warm to train in unless early morning or night time!!!!

However, the location is fantastic....15mins to the airport, a few minutes and you are in the old town....and walking on the promenade and the shops are just a few minutes away.

Room Tip: Be careful with noise on the higher floors, coming from the bar on an evening, especially when a ban...
