The hotel is set back fom the marina (about 150 metres up an incline) . The marina/sea front was easily accessible via the walk downhill, via steps or via an elevator. The hotel itself was very clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast offered a huge variety of choice and was available from very early to mid morning. Indoor and outdoor pools looked great although we didn't get the chance to swim (our 8 year old had a cast on his broken arm) - everything very clean. Rooms were pretty basic but comfortable and we had no disturbance or noise from other rooms during our stay. Two minute walk to bus stop for hop-on/hop-off bus - we found this a great way to catch all the sights and get to shops/bars.

Room Tip: We had family room booked - asked for a room with a terrace and hotel happily accommodated.

I can see why this hotel would not suit everyone but it depends on what you are after from a City Break. Despite the hotel being full, it never seemed busy, so no waits at reception or the hotel bar and breakfast was a relaxing experience with lots of spare tables and good choice of food - although sometimes a bit random (chicken nuggets anyone ?!) The times we used the sun terrace and indoor pool, we were the only ones there and we found the staff efficient and friendly enough.
The rooms are immaculately clean and modern but they have kept the public areas in traditional style and added weird modern sculptures which makes for a quirky look. Yes, getting the stairs to the higher floors is a bit strange but that just adds to the charm.
Location is great. Turn left for a walk to the older part of Palma or right for the more modern bars and disco's.
We preferred the old town around Calle Apuntadores for great tapas bars, cocktails and atmosphere. 15 mins walk or 4 Euros in the taxi.

Room Tip: You get what you pay for : Sea view, side sea view, standard. But we though the best floor is the 5th - close to the breakfast room, pool and terrace. All rooms are pretty noisy as there are busy roads all around.

Stayed in a quadruple room (407) with 3 friends for a long weekend in Palma.

Positives:

- The location is excellent and our room had a great view of the beautiful marina.
- The room cost considerably less than pretty much every other hotel in Palma at the time of booking.
- The staff were polite and friendly, even after returning a little worse for wear at 7am once or twice over the course of the weekend.

Negatives:

- The fourth bed in the quad room was a squeaky, creaky sofa bed.
- The air conditioning unit over the sofa bed was very loud, leading to us turning it off for the most part.
- The pool was deceptively small. Small enough that you wouldn't really like to take a dip with other guests inside as you could guarantee some form of contact!
- The steam room's steam jet was directly inside the door, out of line-of-sight upon entering. Two of our group were burned quite badly as they stepped in for the first time.

Don't let the slightly longer list of negatives put you off entirely. Assuming you're not in a quad room and don't expect to do much (any?) spa-related activity, the hotel is terribly good value for the location. I'd book on the basis you're entering a 3* hotel and you can't go far wrong.

Room Tip: Quad rooms utilise a sofa-bed in lieu of an actual bed. Try to avoid if possible.

I stayed here with my family in late july, and it was in a nice setting. I thought it was nice untill we got in... Now i will start with the positive. A very nice waitor in the bar area however later in the stay his service started to lack a bit. The room had a nice air con, it made the room very cool after a hot day. Now the negitave, Lets start with the reception, They were Rude. They werent excactly helpful, when i asked if the hotel had wifi the first time he shrugged and carried on with his phone convosation... Also didnt really understand english by the sounds of it. The bags werent bought up we all had to squish in a lift. (Had to change lifts). As we got in the room first thoughts were average.. As we look around a family room is a small double bed and a sofa bed. Both rock solid infact one of us had to sleep on the floor. No hot beverage making facilities in the room. And a small balcony with confusing doors. The bathroom was average but could of done with a bin in the room. The maids just made the beds and didnt even tidy up. The pool was tiny and the jacuzzi was not warm at all. The gym wasnt excactly a gym it was 4 machines.
They make this hotel look good. But trust me.. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
