My wife and i have just spent 3 nights and we could not fault this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The Hotel and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Eating in was lovely. The food was cooked very well and not axpensive. Although the hotel was not central to palma, everywhere was easily accessable.10 mins walk to the harbour, the castle was about 15mins walk. The cathedral itself only took 20mins to walk to.
Overall i would recommend a stay here. Why people have given this hotel a bad review is beyond me. Definately a 4 star hotel.

This was my first ever trip to Spain as well as Palma, so I researched the hotel carefully and was not disappointed! What a great few days at the Isla Mallorca! Great staff who gladly gave us a room on the 9th floor – amazing balcony with views toward harbour and castle! Super close to everything but still in a nice quiet ‘suburb’ which itself had many cool old streets, bars and restaurants.

The outdoor pool seemed to be closed for winter but we did try out the spa one evening and loved it, despite the 10 euro price tag and having to buy a hat and flip flops (but cheap). Very relaxing and wonderful. Room was beautifully decorated in minimal grays, the bathroom was a work of art with a sliding glass door and lights around the mirror and gorgeous tiling, and cute nightlights under the nightstands by the beds. Full length mirror was inside the closet door (someone wrote about not having one!) and very nice toiletries were included.

The buffet was just what I wanted, all the great things for breakfast from extravagant chocolate éclairs, to cereal, fruit to eggs, beans, toast, wonderful little spicy sausages, and lots more coldcuts and cheeses. I was in heaven! Cool music was always playing which was a relaxing way to wake up and get motivated to tour Palma.

Taxis were always at hand within 1 minute, the staff seemed to have a little button behind the counter to order one which was handy! Rooms were well heated for winter but we slept with the sliding door open, as weather was so beautiful and warm.

My only complaint was very slow and old computers in the lobby to use the internet, so wasted a lot of time trying to check simple things as they kept crashing, but it was a welcoming vibe in the lobby with a ‘like home’ feel while I was waiting. Didn’t get to try out their bar and snacks or room service but it looked good and a fun atmosphere.

Can’t wait to return to Palma, amazing little town and best place we ate was La Bodeguilla at Calle San Jaime, 1-3 (a little alley off main boulevard) which had the best paella ever and gorgeous cheesecake, very posh but not too expensive! But we also enjoyed many a beer near the cathedral at Café Born, with the super friendly and multi lingual host Alfonso! Be sure to have the wonderful local beer Mahou. Go go go!!

Room Tip: 9th and 10th floors seem to be the best for views and quiet! I'd like to try a suite next time!

We spent our first night in Mallorca at the Isla Mallorca, prior to going to our one-week timeshare. We selected Isla Mallorca because its location was just out of the center of town with easy parking available. It was a great place for a short walk into the city center and we were able to get our bearings in Mallorca for subsequent detailed sightseeing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the off-season price of about 70 euros was quite reasonable. The room itself and the bathroom and shower were very modern and clean. The shower was excellent but the designer forgot that the most beautiful and effective shower needs a soap dish. Breakfast for 12 euro was reasonable.

We visited this hotel in September 2012.

Getting to the hotel: We booked a transfer to & from the hotel as we were arriving & departing at unusual times it it was about 15 minutes from the airport. If we had arrived at normal times we might have got the bus to & from the hotel as the hotel is only 1 street away from one of the main bus routes so would have been quite easy.

Location: About 15 minutes from the airport. 15 minutes walk to the main town centre but there are lots of restraunts & shops on route to the main centre so you do not have to walk far. The town is vaguely on a grid sysem to quite easy to find your way around. There is a large supermarket near by for anything you have forgotten (If you come out the hotel & turn right, turn right at the end of the road & then follow the road round to the right again-it took us a few days to spot it & it was so close)

Hotel: The hotel was very clean, staff were very nice & the breakfast as far as I was concerned could not have been more comprehensive. Hot & cold food & drinks. Prices for adding food & drinks to the room were not unreasonable both room service & at the pool bar. The comments about the amount of sunbeds has to be reiterated as there was not enough for the amount of guests wanting them but there were tables to sit at with a drink by the pool bar which was quite pleasant. The spa looked nice, price was reasonable but the fact you had to wear a swimming cap in the pool made it a no sale for me.

Rooms: We went for a standard room. Room was adequate but we would have asked for a room with a terrace & on a higher floor if we had better knowledge of the hotel but it was kept clean, was a reasonable size & the decor was pleasant. Be prepared for the tv only having bbc & sky news & tcm in english though. Good WIFI signal which was free.

Restaurant recommendation....Try Sambal...Thai food...not traditional Spanish but was excellent & is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

I would consider this hotel if we were to return to Palma again.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor & one with a terrace if one is available.

I stayed here for a pre-Christmas break and had emailed the hotel in advance to request a high floor. They replied and the request was met when I arrived at the hotel. Despite what others have commented, the hotel is in quite a good location. Granted it is not in the immediate city centre but it is still within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants etc. It is also very close to a main bus route. I had a hire car and parking in the surrounding streets was pretty easy.

The hotel itself is immaculately kept and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The rooms are modern and clean - decorated in shades of grey and white - these may not be to everyone's taste but I found it all very relaxing and calming and very clean. Although I did not have occasion to use the pool area given the time of year, it would be nice to use in the summer months.

It is worth noting that the hotel is in quite a built up area but Palma is a large bustling city and you should be prepared for that if you choose to stay in this hotel. It has the bonus of a beautiful spa facility although it is chargeable.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, well-positioned hotel in Palma and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. I am a frequent visitor to the island and researched many other hotels in Palma before booking this one - it didn't disappoint.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor looking towards the water - the views are excellent.

Very nice, clean hotel. Rooms seem to have been refurbished, not huge (unless you go for the suite) but comfy and just what you need for a week/end in Palma. Spa is also very nice and relaxing. Service in general is good, and breakfast buffet is small but excellent quality. Definitely recommend to couples and families alike.

Stayed for 3 nights in this. 4 star hotel for 300 pounds in December. In a fantastic junior suite on floor 10, we had panoramic views over the city and could see the cathedral , castle and sea,we had come to look at apartments so don't have much of a chance to look round Palma but it is a very attractive city with great restaurants

The hotel isn't in the best position for central Palma but we had hired a car and it was easy to park .we had breakfast and some room service and all the food was fine. In summer the pool area would be very useful, we would be happy to stay again .
