“Above Average for the price”

I found the Hotel Zenith to be clean and the staff mostly friendly and helpful. The hotel is probably not suitable for the disabled as it is on a hill, it is a good 10-15 minute walk down to cala mayor.
The food was nicely presented and a good selection, The room had free air con which was a huge plus and also free safe deposit box, although you had to use a credit card to activate it, which seemed a little worrying in these days of ID theft etc, although I still did it, so i can't have been that concerned.

I didn't actually rate the resort of cala mayor that much, but seeing as we were there just for some sun and relaxation it didn't really matter.
I thought the pool area was lovely and the pool nice and clean, plenty of sunbeds. the hotel however was far from full despite it being July.

The beach gets really crowded and sunbeds cost 4.60 Euros for a day which I think is extortionate....maybe thats me, but if you were a family of 4 that would make the day out very expensive before you started on drinks etc.
There is no entertainment in the hotel and I really think they should vary the CDs a bit, as it was driving us mad hearing the same songs over and over.
All in all a good hotel for the price. The only complaint was our wake up call on our morning of departure was 15 minutes late, but luckily we set our phones aswell, so didn't oversleep.

5 of us went here having stayed 5 years ago on a Stag Do. The staff are friendly and helpful, and on both visits (May) the place was quiet and the pool area virtually private. There is plenty available within a short walk (supermarket, bars/cafes, the beach, bike hire and even a gallery). The beach was clean with a cafe bar and lovely white sand and very shallow gradient so you can walk out a long way. The rooms are air conditioned and if you get the right side of the building and an upper floor you get a great view of the bay of Cala Mayor in one direction and Palma port the other way.

There was a fairly relaxed self-service breakfast with a great spread which was served to about 1030. This included fried eggs and bacon.

The staff were able to call up taxis very quickly - 30 euros to airport including tip. The bus into Palma took about 20 minutes and cost 1.25 euros with a frequent service.

While we were there (5 days) there was plenty going on in terms of maintenance and the references to the Husa name (a chain?) had been deleted where possible, so the hotel may have been bought out and was getting some TLC, so hopefully it will be even better next time we go.

We got four nights for GBP84 - how can you complain at that? I have stayed in places in the UK where you could pay that for a night which were not as good as the Zenith.

The whole island was very friendly and Palma is great for architecture, eating/drinking and shopping.

Not a great hotel by any standards. It is located a good 20 minute bus ride from the centre of town, in a mainly residential district. The rooms are large and clean, but the walls are so thin you can hear literally everything from your neighbours. We had particularly noisy ones, and it took 10 minutes or arguing with hotel staff to get our room changed, even though the hotel was only half full. Basically they couldn't be bothered (we persuaded them in the end). The breakfast was drowned in grease and cold (even the things which should have been hot). Glasses etc were also quite dirty. When I go to Mallorca again I will definitly not be staying here.

Location:- within walking distance of bus stop, supermarket and Cala Mayor. Hotel is on a hill.
Hotel is very clean, beds ok. the Staff mainly friendly, especially Raphael (you know who you are).
Restaurant clean and spacious, food looks better than it tastes and was not very hot. Bar was very good so was check in.
Porto PI shopping center only a short bus ride away but nothing special.
I would stay again.

We have just arrived home after a 4 night stay. Having read the reviews we were steeling ourselves for the worst, but our stay could not have been more pleasant.
The hotel is traditionally Spanish with dark wood furnishings, and yes, some furniture had seen better days, but everywhere was spotless and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast buffet was very good and there was plenty of choice.
The bedrooms were good with a free room safe, minibar, tv and air conditioning. The pool bar was open at night but was not noisy and closed at a reasonable time. The pool itself was very clean and there were plenty of sunbeds.
It was a 10 minute walk to the main beach and there were plenty of places to eat. If you feel like treating yourself, book in at the Il Paradiso. It's not cheap (top price main is €32), but the service is impeccable as are the views, and the restaurant is only a few minutes away from the hotel.
I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants a low cost break in Cala Mayor.

My partner and 8 month old son stayed here for a few nights, and were quite pleased to leave after the 3rd night. Our room was very good, spacious and clean. There is no room service, no means to heat a bottle for baby, so we had to ask bar staff for hot water (in this they were very obliging). The reception concierge was slightly eccentric, not very welcoming and very slow with our check-in. Staff overall were not overly friendly although that maybe the Mallorcan attitude I feel. The area is not great, especially if you turn right towards Santa Ponza. This area is not nice for families, too many sleazy nite clubs. During daylight hours we met several people walking very large ferocious/intimidating dogs, pitt bulls, rothweillers etc. Not nice when you've got a baby with you!
Walking (turn left) into "old" Palma is not advised, as the traffic is very fast, and the roads are not pedestrian friendly. The walk is approx. 15 mins. (the first 5 mins being extremely hazardous!) For a short visit maybe, but not to linger.

A 3* Hotel just outside Palma, the 3*'s I feel come from the location and age of the building and the surrounding area. The staff and food alone deserve 5 stars. The hotel was spotless, the food was plentiful and wordly aware, catering for every nationality. Breakfast was reported as being 8-10, but it was a very laid back affair, people were still eating breakfast at 11.30.

The hotel is situated on a very sharp hill, but is only 3-5 minutes walk from the main road, (I am very unfit and it was not a struggle).

The Hotel is surrounded by various other high rise buildings, some of which are nicely looked after, the others are not and they do bring the outlook from the balcony down.

All of the staff are very helpfull and friendly, and all of them spoke a smattering of whichever laguange you were speaking in. Some of them were fluent in English, which I am, so I felt very easy and relaxed in their atmosphere.

The centre of Palma is just a short bus ride away, so easy in fact I did it twice a day, morning for shopping and sightseeing (afternoons were spent by the tired but very inviting hotel pool) and again in the evening for the night life and food. Get off the bus at C&A and spend a relaxed half hour at the Bar Borsh watching the world go by before your search for the perfect (and there are many to be had) evening meal.

There is a beach just a short (20 minute) walk from the hotel. It is fabulous and well worth taking your skinnys for. It is a shame that the surrounding area seems to be a poor relation to Palma, with that beach it should be the creme de la creme.

My stay at this hotel was perfect for what I wanted.
