“Great Hotel!!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Having just returned from our four day trip to Palma I have nothing but good things to say about Hotel Majorica, our room had an amazing view with a good sized balcony, the room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable, and you never heard any noise from any other guests.
The staff were friendly, helpful and our room was given the once over, with fresh towels each day.
The pool is great, and there are plenty of loungers to ensure a fantastic afternoon in the sunshine. The number 1 bus takes you too and from the airport for 3 euros each. The number 3 bus takes you to a gorgeous beach in about 5 minutes for 1.50, or to opposite way into the city if your not feeling a walk, though it is a great 15 minute walk into the city centre past the docks.. it was perfect for walking off endelss tapas. Though there is a great selection of resturants close by.

Overall it was a great stay and I would book again if/ when we returned. Cant recommend enough.

Was a bit unsure of this hotel reading the reviews before we went but was pleasantly surprised !!! We spent 2 lovely weeks here ,in mid September check in was very pleasant and quick and david on reception was very professional and always smiling and pleasant throughout our stay , zelta the entertainment lady works very hard trying to please everyone , the food was very good always a good choice available and yes it could be repetitive but no different to other hotels !!! All the staff were friendly and helpful especially ALBERT who always put a smile on my face whether he was in the pool bar ,restaurant ,or bar great personality so all in all we had a fantastic holiday and thank you ( my only complaint is no drying rails on balcony )

Room Tip: Pay extra for sea view !!!!!!!!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in a room for 3 people. the room was good size with a big balcony with the outlook to the back strret of the building. The fecilities were good with a nice indoor pool which compensated the fact that the outdoor pool was not heated. The gym , spa and souna added to the above but the most amazing were the views from the terrace where everyone could just have a drink ore on the lower terrace could sunbacke , swim and wnjoy the views.
The location was ok but the surprising part was the luck of information the staff gave at the arrival. We have walked quiet a distance down to the main road to catch a bus not knowing that the hotel had a lift located on the terrace which actually could take us all the way to the botom main road, as the hotel is located on a hill , hence the great views.
Also when I asked to have the iron and ironing board I was actually advised that there is noone available to deliver it but when I insisted that I could not walk in the pijamas someone delivered the iron but not the board, as it was not available.... and I had to pay a deposit of 10n Euro (???) evenso they had my Credit Card details...
Other than that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable.
The staff seemed friendly but a bit stressed at times.

Room Tip: Put a request in to have a room on the pool side.

One might be astonished over the three dots, but it is related to my first visit to Spain and Mallorca. Today I´m sure four dots can be the judgement. I spent two weeks in November 1960 and I was convinced Mallorca should be my future place for vacations. At that time it was easier to reach the hotel with a private funicular, sort of mountain rail, from the street below. There were good restaurants who served a three course meal with wine and water for less than the price of a Coke today and that continued for many years.
Ever since that year I have returned, testing all four seasons. Not to hotel Majorica, that was my introduction to the island, a miniature of Europe with mountains and plains and beatiful beaches. I have explored every part of the island with the interesting small cities and villages, local cooking and culture I can´t understand that are still people who has not been there. Today it is much easier to go around with hired car or public transport, in 1960 it took more than one hour to reach Illetas or Portals Nous from Palma.
One can still get three course lunch for 9-10 € and in Juli I had a fried sole for 13 € ! Go for the Leg of lamb, lechona (young pig) and other traditional oven baked dishes.

Room Tip: All rooms facing the bay.

Great hotel. Visited with six other ladies for birthday celebration. Staff were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff. Food was excellent with a lovely buffet breakfast and also, for €18, a delicious buffet dinner. Again great restaurant and bar staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable and definitely worth a bit extra for balcony and sea view.
For €1.50 take the number 3 bus to Illetas for a beautiful beach. There's a beach cafe with nice food and drinks too.
Just a 5 min walk towards Porto Pi takes you to a wonderful fish restaurant called Riffifi, food was delicious and staff couldn't have been more attentive.

Room Tip: Balcony with sea view from level two upwards
